Cookie Policy
Version 3, 13 October 2026.
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are needed to make a shop work at all. The rest are optional, and we do not set them unless you say yes.
The short version
- Essential cookies run without asking. Without them your basket empties and you cannot check out.
- Everything else waits for your consent, and "no" is as easy to click as "yes".
- You can change your mind at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.
- We do not sell your data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
1. The legal basis
In Germany, section 25(1) of the Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) requires your consent before anything non-essential is stored on or read from your device. Section 25(2) exempts what is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. The rest of the European Economic Area applies the same rule through the ePrivacy Directive, and the United Kingdom through PECR.
Where a cookie also processes personal data, the basis under the GDPR is your consent for optional cookies (Article 6(1)(a)) and our legitimate interest in running a working, secure shop for essential ones (Article 6(1)(f)). See the Privacy Policy.
2. The categories we use
Strictly necessary. Always on.
These make the site work. They cannot be switched off, because switching them off means switching the shop off.
- Your basket. Remembering what you put in it between pages.
- Your session. Keeping you signed in if you have an account.
- Checkout. Carrying your order through payment.
- Your country and currency. So prices and shipping are right for where you are.
- Security. Detecting abuse and protecting the payment process.
- Your cookie choice itself. So we do not ask again on every page.
Analytics. Off until you say yes.
How many people visit, which pages they use, where a journey breaks. We use it to fix things, not to build a profile of you.
We use Google Analytics 4 for this, provided by Google Ireland Limited. It runs through our shop platform's customer events, for example during checkout. It loads only after you accept analytics, through our shop platform's own privacy controls, so a "no" keeps it off entirely. We have switched off Google's option to use this data for its own products.
Preferences. Off until you say yes.
Remembering optional choices you make on the site, such as a dismissed notice. Your cookie choice itself is strictly necessary and is not in this category.
Marketing. Off until you say yes.
Measuring whether an advertisement led to a visit. We do not currently run advertising. If that changes, this category becomes active, still only with your consent, and this page is updated first. The tool would be Google Ads conversion measurement, provided by Google Ireland Limited.
3. How to choose, and how to change your mind
- The banner appears on your first visit. Accept all, reject all, or choose category by category. Rejecting is one click, the same as accepting.
- Change your choice at any time from Cookie settings in the footer.
- Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it does not affect anything done lawfully beforehand.
- You can also clear or block cookies in your browser. Blocking essential ones will stop the basket and checkout working.
4. Third parties
- Shopify hosts the store and sets the essential cookies that run the basket, the checkout and fraud protection.
- Our payment providers set cookies inside the payment step to prevent fraud.
- Cloudflare serves the site and protects it from attack.
- Google Ireland Limited runs Google Analytics 4 for us as our processor, and only after you accept analytics. Google LLC in the United States may also process the data.
- Search engines such as Google and Seznam check a code in our pages or our domain settings that proves we own the site. It sets no cookie on your device and sends them nothing about you.
Each acts as our processor, or as a controller where the law makes them one. Transfers outside the European Economic Area are covered by the mechanisms in section 4 of the Privacy Policy.
5. Local storage and similar technologies
The same rules apply to anything that stores or reads information on your device, whatever it is called: local storage, session storage, pixels, tags and device fingerprinting. We treat them exactly as cookies. We do not use device fingerprinting.
6. The cookies by name
Analytics, set only after you accept:
- _ga, Google Analytics. Tells one visitor from another with a random number. Kept for 2 years.
- _ga_Z8YF7LPS9Q, Google Analytics. Keeps the state of your current visit. Kept for 2 years.
Strictly necessary cookies and your cookie choice itself are set by Shopify, our shop platform. Shopify publishes their names, purposes and durations at shopify.com/legal/cookies and keeps that list current. We set no marketing cookies.
