Warranty

Version 4.2, 21 October 2026.

Cover comes in two layers. The law gives you one. We add the other on top. They run at the same time and you may use whichever helps you more.

Layer one: your statutory rights

These come from the law where you live. We cannot reduce them, and nothing on this page tries to.

Where you live What the law gives you
European Union, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein At least two years from delivery for goods that do not conform, and longer where your country's law gives more, for example three years in Spain, Portugal and Sweden. A fault that appears within the first year is presumed to have existed at delivery, and it is for us to prove otherwise. In several countries that presumption runs for two years, for example Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Poland and Sweden
Norway Five years, because vehicle parts are goods intended to last substantially longer than two years. We treat them as falling in that class
United Kingdom 30 days to reject faulty goods outright for a full refund, then repair, replacement and price reduction under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. A fault that appears within six months of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery, and you have up to six years (five in Scotland) to bring a claim
Australia Consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. See the required statement below
New Zealand The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, which cannot be contracted out of
Singapore Repair, replacement, price reduction and rescission under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act
South Africa Six months implied warranty of quality under section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act
Elsewhere The implied terms of the Hong Kong Sale of Goods Ordinance (Cap. 26), plus any right your own country gives you. See Your Rights by Country

Required statement for customers in Australia

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Layer two: our 24-month guarantee

We give a voluntary guarantee of 24 months from delivery on every part we sell, anywhere in the world. It is in addition to your statutory rights and it does not affect them. By law you are entitled to have a part that does not conform put right by us free of charge, whether or not you use this guarantee.

What it actually adds

Where your country's law presumes a fault existed at delivery for only the first year (for example Germany, Austria, Ireland, the Netherlands and Finland), or for only six months (the United Kingdom), we do not ask you to prove when the defect started at any point in the 24 months.

In those countries the burden of proof moves to you once the presumption ends, and proving that a bearing was defective from the factory rather than worn in service is, in practice, close to impossible for an individual. We give that up. If the part failed and the failure looks like a manufacturing or material defect, we deal with it, and we do not ask you to prove when it started.

Where your law already presumes this for two years or more (for example Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Poland, Sweden and Norway), the guarantee adds nothing to that presumption, and your statutory rights are the stronger ones. The guarantee still gives you one claims procedure in every country we ship to, including countries whose law gives you less.

What it covers

A part that fails in normal use because of a defect in material or manufacture.

What it does not cover

  • Normal wear. A wearing part reaching the end of its service life has not failed, it has worn out.
  • Damage from incorrect fitting, wrong torque, or fitting without the specified new fasteners or seals.
  • Damage caused by an underlying fault in the vehicle. A new part destroyed by the same fault that killed the last one is a diagnosis problem, not a part problem.
  • Accident damage, corrosion from damage, and damage from contaminated fluids.
  • Modification, or use in competition or off-road events.
  • Consumable items at the end of their service life.

Fitting a part yourself does not void anything. We do not require workshop fitting and we do not ask for a workshop invoice as a condition. We only ask that the part was fitted correctly, and where it was not, that is what we say rather than pointing at who held the spanner.

What you get

Repair, a replacement part or a refund, at our choice after we have examined the part. We pay the carriage in both directions.

Who gives it

Dragon Wagon Export Limited, Room No. 15, Unit 603, 6th Floor, Sunbeam Centre, No. 27 Shing Yip Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong SAR, company number 79920083 (Companies Registry, Hong Kong), also its Business Registration Number. The guarantee passes with the part, so if you sell the vehicle it goes with it.

How to make a claim

  1. Email contact@evparto.com with "WARRANTY" and your order number in the subject line.
  2. Tell us the OE number, when it was fitted, roughly what mileage or how long it lasted, and what happened.
  3. Send photographs. The part as it is now, the area it came from, and anything legible on it. A photograph settles most claims in one exchange rather than three.
  4. We acknowledge within 24 hours, usually sooner, and tell you what happens next.
  5. Where we need the part back, we arrange and pay for the carriage and send you a return reference.

Do not throw the failed part away. It is the evidence, and without it a claim is far harder for both of us.

What we will not do

  • We will not ask you to prove a fault existed at delivery. See above.
  • We will not require the original packaging for a warranty claim. That condition belongs to returns, not to faults.
  • We will not refuse a claim because you fitted the part yourself.
  • Under this guarantee we will not pay for labour, hire, recovery or loss of use. We sell parts and we do not fit them, and that limit is stated here rather than buried. It limits this guarantee only: where your statutory rights entitle you to the cost of removing a faulty part and fitting a replacement, or to damages, those rights are unaffected.

Original and Aftermarket carry the same cover

Both tiers get the same 24 months and the same treatment. The difference between them is who made the part and to whose specification, not what happens if it fails. See Original or aftermarket.

If you disagree with our decision

Write to contact@evparto.com with "Complaint" in the subject line. We acknowledge within 24 hours, usually sooner, and decide within 14 days. That does not affect your statutory rights, which stand regardless of what we decide, or your right to go to a court or a consumer body where you live.
