Frequently Asked Questions: OE 17566795-00
How do I know this is the right side wiper blade for my car?
This is the right hand front blade, matched to OE number 17566795-00, also listed as SC2EV-5205210. To be sure it is the one you need, take the old blade off the car and read the number printed on it, then compare it with this listing. If the numbers do not match, this is not the blade for that side. Order by the number, not by memory of which side you think you removed it from.
Will this wiper blade fit other BYD models too?
Yes, this wiper is made for the BYD Yuan PLUS alone, and no other model is made for this OE number. If your car is a similar shape or a related badge, that is not enough to be sure it matches. Have the old blade off the car and in your hand before you place an order, and read the number stamped on it against 17566795-00 shown here. Ordering from memory or from a similar looking arm is the most common way to end up with the wrong blade.
The number on my old blade does not match 17566795-00, what now?
Do not fit it on the strength of a similar looking blade. Take the OE number from the old part, or the arm and glass details you have, and check them against the fitment table on this page before you order. This blade is listed for the BYD Yuan PLUS, right front position, so confirm your vehicle matches that listing. If you are still not sure after checking the table, use the quote route on this page rather than guessing, since fitting the wrong blade means it will not sit correctly against the glass.
Does the right front wiper blade need painting to match the car?
No painting is needed, the blade is black rubber and fits as supplied. Before ordering, check that the old blade you are replacing sits on the right side at the front of the car, since that position and the fixing on the wiper arm are what decide whether this is the correct one. If your old blade came off the same side and location, this one will take its place directly.
