Frequently Asked Questions: OE 16873645-00
How do I know if this is the right side for my car?
This panel is listed for the right side only, so getting that confirmed before you order matters. Look at the number stamped on the panel you are removing from the car, since that stamped number is what tells you which side you actually have fitted. The listing carries OE number 16873645-00, also shown as SC2EV-5306140-00YAP. Check the stamped figures on your old panel against these two references before you buy, rather than guessing from position alone, so you do not order a panel built for the wrong side of the dashboard.
The number on my old part does not match 16873645-00, what now?
Take the old panel out of the car and check the OE number stamped or printed on it against 16873645-00 before you place an order. This code is also listed as SC2EV-5306140-00YAP, so check both if the first does not match. Ordering on memory or on a description alone is how the wrong side or wrong trim ends up on your doorstep. A few minutes with the old part in hand, comparing every digit, is the surest way to know this is the one your BYD Yuan PLUS needs.
Will this right trim panel need painting to match my dashboard?
It comes new in Sandstone Beige, so no painting is needed if that matches your interior. Before ordering, check the old panel against this one for side, right, and fitted position, interior, and make sure the fixings line up. Confirm the OE number 16873645-00 against the marking on your old part, since the panel is also listed under SC2EV-5306140-00YAP and either number should match what you remove. It comes from BYD.
