Frequently Asked Questions: OE 16974098-00
How do I know this is the right side for my BYD Yuan PLUS door trim?
The right front door is where this panel is fitted, sitting on the inside trim. Right and left panels are shaped differently and their fixing points do not match, so fitting the wrong one will not line up. Before ordering, open the door in question and look at where the panel sits, which side of the car it is on, and how the trim fixes on to the door itself. Matching the side, the position and the fixings on your own car first is the surest way to be sure this is the panel you need.
Why does this only fit the BYD Yuan PLUS, and what if my car is a close match?
This trim panel is listed for the BYD Yuan PLUS only, under OE number 16974098-00, also listed as SC2EV-6102002-00YAP. No other model fits this panel. Open the photographs on this page and match the shape, the fixing points and the beige finish to the panel on your door before ordering. If your car is a different model, even a similar one, use the fitment table on this page to find the correct panel rather than ordering this one on the assumption that it will do.
The number on my old door trim is different, is this still right?
Check the number stamped on the part you are taking off the car, since that is what actually confirms a match. This one is listed under OE number 16974098-00, and also appears against the number SC2EV-6102002-00YAP, so either of those on your old part points to the same panel. If what you find stamped on yours matches neither number, treat that as a sign this is not the correct panel for your car, and hold off ordering until you have checked further.
How will a part this size reach me?
Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. It comes as a single boxed item rather than something that fits through a letterbox. The packaging details are shown on this page. Make sure someone is available to take it in, and have the model and model year from your registration document to hand when you place the order.
Does this door trim need painting to match my car?
Sandstone Beige is the only colour listed for this panel, and nothing here describes any extra finishing or painting step, so what is shown is what you receive. Have the old part in front of you before you order and compare it directly against Sandstone Beige, checking the tone and the finish against what is already in your car. That direct comparison, rather than a description on a page, is what will tell you whether this is the right shade for your interior.
