Exterior Mirror Bracket (Left), the black plastic carrier plate that holds the mirror glass and locates it against the mirror actuator. This mirror holder bracket, also called a side mirror mounting plate or mirror glass carrier, carries OE reference 12828987-00 and cross-reference ELEC-8202210. It fits the BYD e3, e2 Glory and e2 from 2019 to 2026. The clip tabs and pivot bore match the originals, so the glass and bracket seat correctly on the door mirror.

Is this bracket handed, and which side is it for?
It is handed, and this is the left one. Take left as the side on your left when you are sat in the driver's seat facing forward. Mirror brackets are shaped to the door they mount on, so the opposite side will not line up with the fixing holes no matter how it is offered up. Confirm which mirror took the knock before ordering. If it was the other one, look for the right hand bracket under its own OE number rather than ordering this.
What if my old bracket carries a different reference?
This assembly carries 12828987-00 and also ELEC-8202210, so seeing the second string on a part taken off the car is not a problem. Brackets are usually marked on the inner face that beds against the door, so you will need it off before you can read anything. Note the whole reference, suffix included. If neither of ours appears, send a photograph of the marking and the bracket through the quote route on this page and we will confirm it against the OE number.

What is the bracket assembly made of?
Plastic, and it comes new. It packs flat and travels as an ordinary parcel rather than as a bulky item. Because the bracket is moulded, a hard impact tends to crack the mounting ears rather than bend them, which is why they are often replaced whole. Have a look at the door mounting face on your own car while the old one is off and make sure nothing behind it is damaged.
It is black. Will that look right against my car?
This bracket is black, and it sits on the outside of the door where it can be seen. On many cars the mirror base is black from the factory, so black may be exactly what you want. If your car wears a body coloured mirror base, the bracket will need preparing and spraying to your paint code before it matches. Look at the mirror on the undamaged side of your own car and decide from that, then tell your painter what you need.
