Frequently Asked Questions: OE 18592147-00
Will this headrest fit my BYD, even if the trim looks close?
This one is listed only for the 2nd-gen Yuan PLUS, so it is not a match for other BYD models even where the seat looks similar. Before ordering, look at the shape of the side wings on your own headrest and check how it locks into the seat back. If the fixings or the profile differ from what you can see on this page, treat it as a different part rather than a close enough fit.
My old headrest has a different number to 18592147-00, is this still the right part?
If the number stamped on your old headrest does not match 18592147-00, check it against the alternative reference this part is also listed under, SC2EV-6808010A-00ZA6, before ruling it out. A different number does not automatically mean a different part, since this listing carries both codes. Look at your old part again, side by side with each reference, and only move on to another listing once you are certain neither code appears on it. That comparison is what confirms whether this is the correct headrest for your car.
Will this headrest need painting or finishing to match my seats?
No painting is asked for here. It is a fabric front headrest supplied in Sandstone Brown, so the colour you see listed is the colour it arrives in. If you are not certain that shade will sit well against the rest of your interior, use the quote route on this page before you order. Send over the OE number 18592147-00 and a photo of your current seats, and you can confirm the match rather than guess and hope once it is fitted.
Where does this headrest actually fit on the car?
A front headrest fits inside the cabin, at the top of the front seat back, not among the seat covers around it. It is listed here in sandstone brown fabric for the front position only. Before ordering, open the fitment table on this page and confirm your car and seat position match what is shown there, since a front headrest is not built to suit a rear seat even where the shape looks close. That check takes a moment and makes sure you order the right one first time.
