Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14679080-00
What if the number on my old part is different from this one?
Check before you order rather than after fitting. If the number on your old shield does not match 14679080-00, this is not your part, whatever the model name suggests. Have the old shield in front of you, locate its number, and compare it character by character with 14679080-00. Numbers can look similar but differ by only a digit or two, so read it carefully rather than at a glance. That single check is more reliable than going by the car alone.
How will a part this size reach me?
Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. The packaging details are shown on this page. There is no need to guess what turns up at your door, because the information is set out for you before you buy. If you would rather see the shield itself first, the photographs on this page show it plainly, so you know exactly what you are ordering before it arrives.
What is this splash shield made of and will it fit properly?
It is made of black plastic. Being plastic, it is light for its size and will not add weight under the front of the car. To make sure this is the right one for your BYD Yuan UP, check the fitment table on this page before you order, since the shield carries the OE number 14679080-00 and the alternative reference SC3E-3102170.
Will this splash shield need painting to match the car?
No painting is needed. This shield is black plastic and fits underneath the car out of sight, so finish is not something to worry about. What matters more is fitting the right one, since it is listed for the BYD Yuan UP. Before ordering, check the model and the model year exactly as shown on your registration document, so you can be confident it matches your car rather than a similar looking version from another year or trim.
Where on the car does this fit?
Underneath the front of the car is where this shield sits, fitted low against the underbody rather than anywhere visible from the outside. If the part in your hand carries a different looking number, it may still be correct, since this same shield is also listed as SC3E-3102170. Check both that alternative reference and the OE number 14679080-00 against your old part before ordering, so a different printed number does not put you off a part that is actually right.
