Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14393790-00
Which side is this seat belt for, and how do I check?
This one is listed as the left side, fitted at the front of the car. Left and right are easy to mix up once a belt is out of the car, so before ordering, use the quote route on this page and state clearly which seat it came from, left or right, driver or passenger. Give the OE number too if you have it. Someone will check these details against your car and confirm this is the correct side before you commit to the order, rather than leaving it to a guess made under time pressure.
Will this fit my BYD if it is a different trim or a similar model?
This belt fits the BYD Yuan UP, and no other model or trim is shown for it here. If your car is a closely related model or a different trim, do not assume this will fit, since it is not shown as fitting anything else. Check the photographs on this page against your own seat belt and its fittings before ordering, since a close match by eye is not the same as a confirmed fitment. If it does not clearly match, it is best not to guess. This is the only version of this part shown on this page.
The number on my old seat belt is not the same as this one, what now?
If the number on your old belt does not match 14393790-00 or the alternative reference SC3E-5811010A, do not order on the strength of the description alone. Instead, check the side, the position and the fixings on your own car against this listing, left side, front seat. If those match exactly, that is a stronger sign than the number alone. If they do not, it is not the right part for your car, whatever the description says. Match the physical detail on the car itself, not the numbers on a screen.
Can I fit this front seat belt myself or should a professional do it?
Seat belt work should be left to a professional, since a wrongly fitted belt will not restrain you properly in a crash. Before booking the job, match the model and model year on your registration document against the fitment table on this page, so the garage can confirm it is the correct left front belt before starting. This assembly is listed under OE number 14393790-00, which is worth having to hand when you call.
