Frequently Asked Questions: OE 17294353-00
How do I know this seat belt is the right side for my car?
This listing covers the right side only. Delivery takes 8 to 25 days from your order to your door. Getting the side wrong means the fitting will not line up when you come to install it. The shipping cost for your country is shown on this page and confirmed at checkout before you pay. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 17294353-00.
This only lists the Yuan UP, will it fit my BYD?
The fitment table on this page lists only the Yuan UP for this seat belt, so it is the only vehicle confirmed for this OE number. If your BYD is a different model, this part is not the one for it, even if the seat belt looks the same from the driver's seat. Check the OE number on the mounting bracket or the belt buckle housing of your old unit against 17294353-00 before ordering, and have a look at the photographs on this page to compare the shape and fixing points with what you have removed.
The number on my old belt does not match this one, what should I do?
If the number stamped on your old belt does not match 17294353-00, do not fit this one just because the model matches. A different number usually means a different version, and nothing here explains why versions differ, so the number is what decides fitment, not the model name. Check the fitment table on this page against your own vehicle details, and compare the number on your old part again before you buy, so you order the version your car actually needs rather than the one that looks closest.
Do I need a garage to fit this seat belt or can I do it myself?
This sits in the seat belts and safety category, so getting the right part matters before anyone starts fitting it. Before you go further, match the OE number 17294353-00 against the belt you are removing, or check it against the alternative reference SC3EA-5811020, which this part is also listed under. Confirming the reference first means whoever fits it, whether that is you or someone else, is working from the correct part rather than guessing at the details on the day.
