Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13616397-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
How do I know this headlamp is the left one and fits my BYD e2?
This listing is for the left side, front fitting, matched to OE number 13616397-00, also listed as ELEAD-4121010A. Before you order, take the old headlamp off and look for that number on the part itself, then match it against what is shown here. If the numbers line up, you can order with confidence. If you cannot find a number to check, use the quote route on this page and someone will confirm it against your car before it ships.
What is the difference between the genuine and aftermarket versions of this headlamp?
Genuine means the lamp comes from BYD, the maker of the car, built to their exact specification. Aftermarket means a lamp made to match the same OE number, 13616397-00, without coming from BYD itself. Both fit the same car and are listed as new, and the difference is usually in cost and in how closely the part matches the exact factory build. If you want help deciding which one suits your car, use the quote route on this page and one of the team will talk you through the options.
The number on my old lamp does not match this one, what now?
Start with the side, since this is listed as the left headlamp and fitting it to the wrong side will leave the beam pattern reversed. Then check where it sits at the front of the car and look at the fixings holding the old one in place. If the side, the position and the fixings all match what you have on the car, the lamp is right for your fitting, whatever number is stamped on the old unit. The OE number for this lamp is 13616397-00, so use that to confirm you have found the correct listing.
