Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14889326-00
Is this the trim for the right hand end of the dash?
It is. This one is marked Right, and sides are given as seen from inside the car looking forward. So this caps the end of the instrument panel nearest the right hand door. The left hand end trim is a different OE number with its own listing, and the two are not interchangeable. Before you order, sit in the car and look at which end has the damage, then check that against the fitment table on this page. It costs nothing to confirm and saves ordering twice.
The reference HA5H-5306840 is on my old piece. Does that lead here?
It does. When you contact us, quote the OE number, because that is the reference the fitment table on this page works from. If your piece shows a number that matches neither, treat that as a reason to ask rather than a reason to walk away. Give us what is printed on it and the details of the car, and we will check it before you order.
How long should I allow for this to arrive?
Delivery takes 8 to 25 days from your order to your door. The packaging details are on this page. Order before you book any workshop time, not after. The shipping cost for your country is shown on this page and confirmed at checkout before you pay. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 14889326-00. If anything about the timing matters for a booked repair, ask through the quote route on this page.
What is the end trim made from?
The material is plastic. In practical terms the piece is a moulded cover for the end of the instrument panel. Plastic trim is held by its own fixings, so if the previous piece was pulled off in a hurry, check whether its fixings came away with it or stayed in the dashboard. Fitting a new panel onto broken locations will leave a gap at the edge.
Does this piece arrive already finished in black?
Yes. The trim is supplied in Black, so there is no preparation or painting to do. Because it sits at the right hand end of the instrument panel, in view from the passenger side, the finish is the thing to check before you commit. Put the photograph on this page next to your own dashboard and look at the tone in daylight. If your interior is not black, tell us the model and year through the quote route and we will check the finish for you.
Is this only sold as a genuine part?
Yes. Only a BYD genuine item is available for 14889326-00, with no aftermarket alternative, which is why one line appears at the price on this page instead of two. Nothing is hidden behind the single entry. Parts that carry both tiers show them together so you can weigh one against the other, and this reference does not. If a lower cost equivalent would suit you better, put the OE number through the quote route on this page and we will say whether we can find one.
