Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13186508-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
Is this the left or right arch trim?
This listing is for the right side only. Fitting side wrong on a trim panel means mounting points and the curve of the panel will not line up with the arch. Check the fitment table on this page before ordering, since it confirms which side this panel is built for and will stop you ordering the wrong one for your BYD Yuan PLUS.
What is the difference between Original and Aftermarket for this trim?
Original or Genuine means it comes from BYD as the maker of the car. Aftermarket is made to fit the same vehicle without coming from BYD. Either way, fitment depends on matching the number on the part you are removing, not on which tier you pick. Take the old panel off first and read the number stamped on it, then compare that against what is listed here before you commit to an order.
My old part number does not match 13186508-00, can I still use this?
Possibly. This panel also carries the reference SC2E-5302440, so a different number on your old trim does not automatically rule it out. The same panel can carry more than one reference number. Check whether your old part carries this alternative reference before assuming it is a mismatch, and only rule this one out if neither number appears on what you are removing.
What is the right rear wheel arch trim made of?
This panel is made of plastic, finished in grey, and supplied new rather than reconditioned. It fits the right rear arch and carries OE number 13186508-00, so before you order, check that number against the trim you are removing. Confirm the model and the model year exactly as they appear on the vehicle's registration document, since that is what the fitment table on this page uses to match the part to your car. The weight is shown on this page.
Will this arch trim match the paintwork straight away?
It comes in grey plastic and is not painted to match your car. Have a look at the photographs on this page before ordering so you know exactly what finish to expect on arrival. If your Yuan PLUS has a body coloured trim in this position, this grey panel will not blend in without extra work on your part, so check the images carefully first. Confirm against the old part using the OE number 13186508-00 before you commit to the order.
