Denza Parts

Denza covers the D9, N7, N8, N9 and the Z9 pair, plus the Z9GT shooting brake, all built on group platforms with hardware BYD rarely fits elsewhere: dual-chamber air springs, rear-wheel steering and up to three drive motors. What decides a part is the specification the individual car left the factory with, not the badge, so match everything to the OE reference before you order.

About Denza Parts

Denza is the premium brand of the BYD group. It began in 2010 as a joint venture between BYD and Daimler, and the Denza name was introduced in March 2012. Mercedes-Benz cut its stake to 10% in late 2021 and left in September 2024, so Denza is now wholly owned by BYD. The cars are built on BYD group platforms with Blade batteries and BYD hybrid systems, finished with Denza's own bodies, interiors and chassis tuning, which is why BYD Denza parts are a mix of group hardware and parts made only for the brand.

The range centres on the D9 MPV, sold since 2022 as a battery-electric car and as a DM-i plug-in hybrid, the Z9 GT shooting brake and the large N8L and N9 SUVs. A five-seat N8 and the Denza Z sports car joined them in 2026. The N7 crossover and the Z9 saloon ran until 2026, and earlier cars include the first N8, the Denza X SUV and the original Denza EV. Outside China, Denza also badges two Fangchengbao off-roaders, the B5 and B8, which sit on ladder frames and take Fangchengbao parts.

Denza cars are sold in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Australia, Brazil and the Middle East. The brand announced its European entry at a launch event in Milan in April 2025, and orders opened in April 2026 in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. Private imports from China add to that mix, in both left and right hand drive. Searches for Denza D9 parts and Denza Z9GT parts, or for Denza parts in the UK, Europe or Australia, mostly come from owners and workshops who need the same things. First come service items such as cabin and air filters, brake pads and discs and wiper blades. Then come body panels and bumpers, headlamps and tail lamps, cooling hoses and radiators, air suspension components, and sensors or modules after minor damage.

One badge covers several builds. An N7 may or may not have air suspension, a D9 may be electric or hybrid, and a B8 is a Fangchengbao underneath, and none of that is obvious from the name on the tailgate. Genuine Denza parts carry an OE number on the label, the casting or the packaging, and that number is the fitment check. When you need Denza spare parts, read the OE number from the part you are replacing and search for that number here.

What to know before buying Denza parts

Start with what the car actually is. Denza names cover quite different vehicles, so identify the body style and powertrain before you look at parts. The D9 is an MPV built as a battery-electric car on e-Platform 3.0 and as a DM-i plug-in hybrid, and export markets took different versions. Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and Australia received the electric car, while Europe and the Philippines took the hybrid. A B5 or B8 with a Denza badge is a Fangchengbao Bao 5 or Bao 8 on a ladder frame, and in the UK the smaller car is marketed as the Bao 5. Order those as Fangchengbao parts. The B5 shares its platform with the BYD Shark 6 pickup.

Much of what sits under a Denza comes from the wider BYD group. Blade batteries, the DM-i and DM-p hybrid systems, e-Platform 3.0 on the D9 EV and N7, and the e3 platform on the Z9, Z9 GT, N8L and N9 are group hardware. Some electrical and thermal components are common with BYD models of the same generation. Bodywork, lighting, glass, interior trim and most suspension parts are Denza's own, so do not assume that a BYD part which looks identical will fit. The OE number settles it.

Trim level changes the chassis. When the N7 launched in 2023, four versions carried DiSus-A air suspension and two Air versions went without it, so an N7 corner can take an air spring or a conventional spring and damper. The Z9, N8L and N9 use DiSus-A air suspension and three-motor drive on many versions, and the Z9 and N8L add rear-wheel steering. The N7 was facelifted in 2024 with new headlamps and daytime running lights, so lamps from early and later cars differ. The N8 name also covers two different cars: the first, built from 2023 to 2024, was offered as a DM-p plug-in hybrid and as a battery-electric car with up to seven seats, and the second, from 2026, is a five-seat electric SUV. Where a part changed during a model year, check the build date on the car's identification plate against the listing.

For a privately imported car, find out which market it was built for. Left and right hand drive cars differ in dashboards, steering parts, wiper linkages and headlamp beam patterns, and the OE number decides which one you need. A Chinese-market car can also differ from a local car of the same name in lighting, driver-assistance hardware and trim. Take the OE number from the old part, quote the colour code for painted panels and search for the number here. If it does not appear, send it through the quote form and we reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.

Denza Platforms and Shared Parts

Denza builds on the BYD group's own platforms. The D9 EV and the N7 use e-Platform 3.0, BYD's dedicated electric architecture, while the D9 DM-i uses BYD's DM-i plug-in hybrid system with a 1.5 litre turbocharged engine. The first-generation N8 combined DM-p hybrid drive with the e-Platform 3.0 structure, and was also offered as a battery-electric car. The newer large cars, the Z9, Z9 GT, N8L and N9, use the e3 platform, which pairs three electric motors on many versions with a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine in plug-in hybrid form, and adds rear-wheel steering on the Z9 and N8L. Blade LFP batteries are used across the range.

Chassis control comes from BYD's DiSus family. DiSus-A, the air body control system, made its debut on the N7 and is fitted to the Z9, N8L and N9. DiSus-C, an adaptive damping system, is used on some Denza versions without air springs as well as on BYD models.

For interchange, this means group-level hardware such as battery, hybrid and some thermal and low-voltage parts can be common with BYD models of the same era. Bodies, lamps, glass, interiors and suspension are Denza's own and often specific to one model. The B5 and B8 sold with Denza badges sit outside all of this on Fangchengbao ladder frames. Treat any part that looks shared as unconfirmed until the OE numbers match.

Finding the OE Number on a Denza Part

The OE number is the factory part number for a genuine Denza part. On most parts it is printed on a label or moulded or stamped into the part itself. Look on the back of lamps and trim panels, on the case of electronic modules and control units, on the body of pumps and valves, and on the box or packaging for filters, brake pads and other service items. Copy the whole number exactly, including letters and any suffix, and read it from your own part, not from a photo of a similar one. When the factory revises a part, a newer number can supersede the one printed on your old part, so a different number on the replacement is normal. Type the number into the search on this site to find the matching part, and if it does not appear, send it through the quote form.

Before You Order: 8 Checks

  1. If a Denza-badged off-roader is a B5 or B8, order Fangchengbao parts for it.
  2. Confirm whether a D9 is the electric or the DM-i hybrid version before ordering any drive, cooling or charging part.
  3. On an N7, check whether the car has air suspension before ordering springs, struts or levelling parts.
  4. Find the OE number on the old part's label, casting or packaging and type it into the search.
  5. Treat a superseded number as the current version of the same part and order the newer number.
  6. For parts that changed mid-year, read the build date on the car's identification plate and match it to the listing.
  7. On an imported car, note whether it is left or right hand drive and let the OE number decide the part.
  8. Quote the colour code for painted panels, and book camera and radar calibration after windscreen or bumper work.

Why Denza Parts Supply Is Different

Denza parts reach buyers outside China by two routes. In markets with Denza dealers, such as Australia and, since April 2026, several European countries, the franchised network supplies genuine parts for the models sold there. Everything else comes from the Chinese factory parts supply by OE number. That covers privately imported Chinese-market cars and models with no local sales, such as the N8L and N9.

Numbers get superseded because the range moves quickly. Denza has launched, facelifted and replaced models within two or three years of each other, and BYD revises components across the group as batteries, electronics and suppliers change. When a part is revised, the factory gives it a new number that replaces the old one. A superseded number is normal and does not mean the original part was wrong.

Whether a part is shared depends on what it does. Parts that come from group systems, such as Blade battery components, DM hybrid parts and some thermal and low-voltage electrical items, can be common with BYD models of the same generation. The parts that give a Denza its look and ride, including panels, lamps, glass, trim and air suspension, are usually specific to Denza and often to one model and version. The export Fangchengbao models add a third category, since their parts follow Fangchengbao and not Denza.

For the buyer, the badge and the model name are only a starting point. The OE number on the old part is what matches supply in any market, whether the car came through a local dealer or arrived as a private import. Search for that number here, and if it has been replaced or does not appear, send it through the quote form so the current number can be confirmed.

Denza Parts: Frequently Asked Questions

What is Denza, and how is it related to BYD?

Denza is the premium brand of the BYD group. It started in 2010 as a joint venture between BYD and Daimler, and the Denza name was introduced in March 2012. Mercedes-Benz reduced its stake to 10% in late 2021 and left in September 2024, leaving Denza wholly owned by BYD. The cars use BYD group platforms, Blade batteries and hybrid systems, with Denza's own bodies, interiors and chassis tuning. Some parts are therefore shared with BYD models and many are not. Read the OE number from the old part and search for it here to see what fits.

Which Denza models are there?

The current range includes the D9 MPV, the Z9 GT shooting brake, the N8L and N9 large SUVs, a five-seat N8 introduced in 2026 and the Denza Z sports car. The N7 crossover arrived in 2023 and the Z9 saloon in 2024, and both are listed as ending in 2026. Older cars include the first N8 of 2023 to 2024, the Denza X SUV of 2019 to 2021 and the original Denza EV. Outside China, the B5 and B8 off-roaders also carry the badge. Check the model name on the tailgate, then confirm the part with the OE number printed on it.

How do I find the OE number on a Denza part?

Most genuine Denza parts carry the OE number on a printed label, on the packaging or as a moulded or stamped mark on the part itself. On lamps and plastic trim it is usually on the back, on filters and brake parts it is often on the box, and on electronic modules it sits on the label on the case. Copy the full number exactly, including any letters or suffix. Type it into the search on this site, and if nothing comes up, send it through the quote form.

Do BYD parts fit a Denza?

Some do, because Denza uses BYD group hardware. The D9 EV and N7 use e-Platform 3.0, the D9 hybrid uses DM-i and the first N8 hybrid uses DM-p, while the Z9, N8L and N9 use the e3 platform. Battery, hybrid and some electrical and thermal parts can be common with BYD cars of the same generation. Body panels, lamps, glass, interior trim and suspension are usually specific to Denza. The only reliable check is whether the OE numbers match, so search the number from your old part, not a BYD model name.

Is a Denza B5 or B8 really a Denza?

Underneath, they are Fangchengbao vehicles. In export markets BYD sells the Fangchengbao Bao 5 and Bao 8 with Denza badges as the B5 and B8, and in the UK the smaller car is marketed as the Bao 5. Both use ladder-frame construction and plug-in hybrid drive, and the B5 shares its platform with the BYD Shark 6 pickup. Their parts are Fangchengbao parts, so a listing for a Denza D9 or Z9 will not apply. Take the OE number from the old part and search for it, or start from the Fangchengbao pages.

My D9 is electric but the European D9 is a hybrid. Which parts do I need?

The D9 was built in two versions under one name. The EV uses a Blade battery on e-Platform 3.0, and the DM-i combines a 1.5 litre turbocharged engine with a plug-in hybrid system. Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and Australia took the electric car, while Europe and the Philippines took the hybrid. The body is shared, but cooling, drive, charging and engine parts differ. A fuel filler flap tells you it is the hybrid. Then match the OE number from your own car's old part instead of relying on a specification sheet written for another market.

Does my Denza have air suspension?

It depends on the model and version. When the N7 launched in 2023, four versions had DiSus-A air suspension and two Air versions did without it. The Z9, N8L and N9 are listed with DiSus-A air suspension, and the B5 and B8 use Fangchengbao chassis hardware. An air spring, compressor or height sensor will not suit a car on conventional springs, and a conventional spring will not suit a car built for air. Look at the old strut or spring and read its OE number before ordering anything at a corner.

Is my Denza left or right hand drive, and does it matter?

Most Denza cars are left hand drive, but right hand drive versions are sold in markets such as Hong Kong, Australia and the UK. Dashboards, steering parts, wiper linkages, some wiring harness sections and headlamp beam patterns can differ between the two. You do not need to work this out from the model name. The OE number on the old part already reflects which side it was built for, so read the number from the part and search for it here.

I have a privately imported Denza from China. Can I still get parts?

Yes. A Chinese-market car uses parts from the same factory supply as the rest of the range, so genuine parts are available by OE number even where no local dealer supports that model. An imported car may differ from a local one in drive side, lighting, driver-assistance hardware and trim, so local catalogues are not always a guide. Read the number from the part you are replacing, note the build date on the identification plate and search for the number here. For anything not listed, send the details through the quote form.

Why has the part number changed on my Denza part?

Denza and BYD revise parts when models are facelifted, suppliers change or a design is improved. When that happens the factory issues a new OE number that supersedes the old one, and the newer part is intended to replace it. A different number on the new part is therefore normal and does not mean you have the wrong item. Denza has updated its range quickly since 2022, so supersessions are common. Search for the old number here, and if you are unsure which number is current, ask through the quote form.

The part I need is not listed. What should I do?

Send the OE number, the model, the build date from the identification plate and a short description of the part through the quote form. We reply within 24 hours, usually sooner. Newer models such as the N8L, N9 and Denza Z, and export cars such as the B5 and B8, are the most likely to have parts not yet listed. Keep the old part to hand in case the number needs checking, and include a clear note of which side of the car it came from.

Do the Z9 and Z9 GT share parts?

They share a great deal underneath. Both sit on the e3 platform with the same 3,125 mm wheelbase, three-motor drive, DiSus-A air suspension and rear-wheel steering, and both were offered as battery-electric and plug-in hybrid cars. The bodies differ, as the Z9 is a four-door saloon and the Z9 GT a five-door shooting brake, so rear panels, the bootlid or tailgate, rear glass and rear lamps are specific to each. Europe has received the Z9 GT only. Check which body you have, then match the OE number from the old part.

Can a workshop that has not worked on a Denza before fit these parts?

For most jobs, yes. Service items, brakes, lamps and body panels fit much like those on other modern cars, and the OE number removes the guesswork over fitment. Three kinds of work need planning. High-voltage battery, motor and charging parts should go to a workshop qualified for electrified vehicles. Air suspension usually has to be depressurised and relevelled with diagnostic equipment. Cameras and radar need calibrating after windscreen, bumper or mirror work. Confirm the workshop can cover the job, then order the part by OE number.

Where are Denza cars sold outside China?

Denza began exporting in 2024, starting with Southeast Asia, and is also sold in Hong Kong, Australia, Brazil and the Middle East. It announced its European entry at a brand launch in Milan in April 2025, and orders opened in April 2026 in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK for the Z9 GT and D9. The models and versions each market received vary, which is why imported cars often differ from local ones. Whatever the market, identify the part by the OE number printed on it and search for that number here.
