Fangchengbao Parts

Fangchengbao covers two different cars under one factory name: the Bao range, body-on-frame off-roaders with hydraulic body control and differential locks, and the Tai range, lighter unibody cars on double-wishbone front and five-link rear suspension. Order by the factory reference behind the badge, since Bao cars export as Denza and Tai cars export as BYD, and confirm which chassis you have before quoting a corner part, as the suspension type is not a passive damper on one side of this range.

About Fangchengbao Parts

Fangchengbao, also written Fang Cheng Bao and translated as Formula Leopard, is a BYD Auto brand launched in June 2023 for SUVs with a rugged, go-anywhere character. It sits in the BYD group alongside BYD and Denza, and its cars are built by BYD. That means genuine Fangchengbao parts come from two layers. The first is group hardware shared with other BYD models, and the second is the body, chassis and trim parts that belong to one Fangchengbao model alone. Anyone looking for Fangchengbao spare parts needs to know which layer a part sits in.

The range splits into two families. The Bao 5 and Bao 8 are body-on-frame plug-in hybrid SUVs on BYD's DMO off-road platform. The Bao 5 is mid-size and the Bao 8 full-size, and both have locking differentials. DiSus-P hydraulic body control is standard on the Bao 8 and fitted to higher Bao 5 trims. The Tai 3 is a compact battery-electric SUV, and the Tai 7 is a mid-size unibody SUV sold mainly as a plug-in hybrid. Outside China the badges change. The Bao 5 and Bao 8 are sold as the Denza B5 and Denza B8 in Australia, New Zealand, the UAE and parts of South East Asia, and the Denza B5 is also sold in Brazil. The Tai 3 is exported as the Denza B3, and the Tai 7 goes abroad as the BYD Ti7, with a right-hand-drive version announced for the UK. Denza B5 parts, Denza B8 parts and BYD Ti7 parts therefore come from the same factory catalogue.

The parts owners and workshops order most are service items. These include oil, air, cabin and fuel filters for the hybrid engines, along with brake pads and discs, wiper blades and coolant parts. Body panels, bumpers, mirror glass, headlamps and tail lamps come next, often after off-road knocks or road damage, followed by electronics such as cameras, radar sensors, switches and control modules. Buyers of Fangchengbao parts in the UK and Europe, and workshops sourcing Denza B5 parts in Australia, often find little local stock for a range this new.

The same car can wear a different badge in each market, and parts change between trims and model years, so the name on the tailgate is a poor guide. Read the OE number printed, moulded or stamped on the old part and type it into the search. The listing will either match it directly or show the newer number that has replaced it. If the part is missing or the label can't be read, send us what you have through the quote form and we reply within 24 hours, usually sooner. For genuine Fangchengbao parts, the fitment check is the OE number.

What to know before buying Fangchengbao parts

Start by working out which car you have, because the badge may not say Fangchengbao at all. A Denza B5 is a Bao 5, a Denza B8 is a Bao 8, a Denza B3 is a Tai 3 and a BYD Ti7 is a Tai 7. The Bao cars are body-on-frame plug-in hybrids with a separate chassis frame and locking differentials. The Tai cars are unibody with no ladder frame, and the Tai 3 is fully electric. The year matters too. The Bao 5 went on sale in China in late 2023, the Bao 8 in 2024, the Tai 3 in April 2025 and the Tai 7 in September 2025, and export versions arrived later.

Parts shared with the wider BYD group tend to be the ones you can't see: Blade battery components, charging hardware, many electronic control units, switches, sensors and some service items. The Bao 5 and Bao 8 have similar layouts but different engines, a 1.5 litre turbo in the Bao 5 and a 2.0 litre turbo in the Bao 8, so check engine filters, gaskets and hoses model by model. Body panels, lamps, bumpers, glass, interior trim and chassis parts are specific to each model, and the Bao cars share very little chassis hardware with the Tai cars. A part that looks the same on a BYD model with a similar shape may still differ in a mounting point or a connector.

Within a model, parts change with trim and with the year. DiSus-P hydraulic body control is standard on the Bao 8 but fitted only to higher Bao 5 trims, and cars that have it use different dampers, pipework, pumps and height sensors from cars that don't. The Tai 3 gained a Flash Charging version in 2026 with a different battery. The Tai 7 comes with one motor or, on all-wheel-drive versions, front and rear motors, added a battery-electric version in 2026 and gained a long-range plug-in hybrid in August 2026. Export cars also differ from Chinese cars. For example, the Denza B5 and Denza B8 have lower power outputs abroad than in China. Where a part changed during production, check the build date on the car's identification plate against the listing.

A car imported privately from China is a Chinese-market car wherever it is now registered, and it is left-hand drive. Headlamps, dashboard parts, wiper linkages, pedal assemblies and some steering parts can differ between left and right-hand drive, and the OE number on the old part decides which one you need. Chinese-market cars can also differ from export cars in infotainment, lighting and charging hardware, so go by the number on the old part rather than a local listing for the export model. If the part has no readable number, send photos of the part and its label through the quote form.

Fangchengbao Platforms and Shared Parts

The Bao 5 and Bao 8 use the DMO platform, which BYD calls its Dual Mode Off-road super hybrid system. It combines a body-on-frame chassis with a turbocharged petrol engine, front and rear electric motors and a Blade lithium iron phosphate battery. The Bao 5 has three differential locks. DiSus-P hydraulic body control is standard on the Bao 8 and fitted to higher Bao 5 trims. The Bao 5 uses a 1.5 litre turbo and the Bao 8 a 2.0 litre turbo, so engine parts and much of the driveline are not shared between them, even though the layout is similar.

The Tai 3 and Tai 7 are unibody cars, and both are reported to use BYD's Evo+ platform. The Tai 3 is battery-electric with rear or all-wheel drive. The Tai 7 is mainly a plug-in hybrid with a 1.5 litre turbo, sold with a single motor on two-wheel-drive versions or front and rear motors on all-wheel-drive versions, and a battery-electric version was added in 2026. The Tai 7 has double-wishbone front and five-link rear suspension with DiSus-C adaptive damping.

For interchange, the shared layer is group hardware. This covers Blade battery components, charging equipment, many control units, switches and small electrical parts, some of which appear across BYD, Denza and Fangchengbao cars. The model-specific layer is everything that sets the car's shape and chassis, including frames, subframes, suspension arms, body panels, glass and lamps. Parts rarely cross between the Bao and Tai families, so check the OE number before assuming any fit.

Finding the OE Number on a Fangchengbao Part

The OE number is the factory part number, and it is the surest way to match a Fangchengbao part. On most parts it appears on a printed label, a moulded marking on plastic or a stamped metal tag. Look on the back of lamps and trim panels, on the casing of electronic modules, and on the body of filters and hoses. Some labels also carry supplier codes and dates, so copy the part number exactly as printed, including any letters. Parts are sometimes revised during production, and when that happens a newer number supersedes the older one. The newer part normally fits the older car. Type the number from your old part into the search and the listing will show the current part. If the label is damaged or can't be read, send clear photos through the quote form.

Before You Order: 7 Checks

  1. Match the badge to the factory model, since a Denza B5, Denza B8, Denza B3 or BYD Ti7 is a Fangchengbao car, then search under Fangchengbao.
  2. Find the OE number on the old part's label, moulding or tag and type it into the search.
  3. Check whether the car has DiSus-P hydraulic body control before ordering any suspension part, and order hydraulic components only for cars that have it.
  4. Note whether the car is left or right-hand drive, and let the OE number on the old part decide any part that differs between the two.
  5. For a part that changed during production, read the build date on the car's identification plate and include it with your enquiry.
  6. Have the paint colour code ready for any painted panel, and book a driver-assistance calibration if the part carries a camera or radar sensor.
  7. If the number is missing or can't be read, send photos of the part and its label through the quote form.

Why Fangchengbao Parts Supply Is Different

Fangchengbao is a young brand, and most of its cars have been sold in China, so parts supply abroad runs through two routes. Cars sold new under the Denza or BYD badge are supported by those dealer networks in their own markets. Workshops and owners of privately imported cars, and anyone whose local dealer can't supply a part, usually need it sourced from China. Supply from China follows the factory catalogue under the Fangchengbao name, and that catalogue lists parts by OE number rather than by export badge.

Numbers are superseded often on a range this new. When the factory revises a part, for example with a stronger bracket, an updated sensor or a new software level on a control module, it issues a new number that replaces the old one. The newer part normally fits the older car, but the number on your old part may no longer be the current one, so the search needs to follow it through to the latest number. The Tai 3 and Tai 7 were both updated within their first year on sale, and each update brings new numbers.

Sharing follows the engineering. Parts inside the group's common systems, such as Blade battery components, charging hardware, many control units and small electrical items, are often used across BYD, Denza and Fangchengbao cars. Parts that give a car its shape or its off-road ability are usually unique to one model. These include body panels, lamps, bumpers, frames, suspension arms and the DiSus-P hydraulic components. For the buyer, this means a shared part can sometimes be found under another group model's listing, but a brand-specific part can't. The OE number tells you which case you are in. Start with the number on the old part and let the search show whether it is current, superseded or used elsewhere in the group.

Fangchengbao Parts: Frequently Asked Questions

What is Fangchengbao and how does it relate to BYD?

Fangchengbao, often written Fang Cheng Bao and translated as Formula Leopard, is a brand owned by BYD Auto. BYD announced it in June 2023. It sits alongside BYD and Denza in the group, and its cars are built by BYD. Its focus is SUVs with a rugged look, from the body-on-frame Bao 5 and Bao 8 to the unibody Tai 3 and Tai 7. Many hidden components come from the wider group, while the body and chassis parts are its own. Search by the OE number on your old part to find the right one.

My car is badged Denza B5 or Denza B8. Are these Fangchengbao parts?

Yes. The Denza B5 is the export name for the Bao 5, and the Denza B8 is the export name for the Bao 8. Export sales began in late 2025 in the UAE, with the Denza B5 in Brazil and the Denza B8 in Australia and New Zealand. In 2026 the Denza B5 reached Australia, New Zealand and parts of South East Asia, and the Denza B8 the Philippines and Malaysia. Export versions can differ in power output and some equipment. The OE number on the old part is a factory number, so type it into the search whatever the badge says.

Is the BYD Ti7 the same car as the Fangchengbao Tai 7?

Yes. The Tai 7, also written Ti7, is sold in China under the Fangchengbao name and exported with BYD badges. Export sales began in Thailand, and the car reached the UAE in June 2026. Those cars use the 1.5 litre turbo plug-in hybrid, and the UK car has been announced as a right-hand-drive seven-seat all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid with deliveries from January 2027. China also has a battery-electric version from 2026. The export car and the Chinese car are close but not always identical, so trim, lamps and charging parts may differ. Check the number on the part you are replacing and type it into the search.

What is the Denza B3?

The Denza B3 is the export name for the Fangchengbao Tai 3, a compact electric SUV that went on sale in China in April 2025. It has been shown or launched with Denza badges in markets including Thailand and Costa Rica. It is a unibody, battery-electric car with rear or all-wheel drive, so it shares very little chassis hardware with the Bao 5 and Bao 8. A Flash Charging version with a different battery followed in 2026. For any part, start with the OE number on the old one and search for it.

How do I tell which Fangchengbao model I have?

Look first at the construction and the powertrain. A Bao 5 or Bao 8 has a separate ladder frame, a turbocharged petrol engine working with electric motors, and locking differentials, and the Bao 8 is noticeably larger than the Bao 5. The Tai 3 is a compact electric SUV with no engine. The Tai 7 is a mid-size unibody SUV, most often a plug-in hybrid. Export cars carry Denza or BYD badges on top of this. Once you know the model, the OE number on your old part confirms the exact fit, so search for that.

Where do I find the OE number on the old part?

Most parts carry the number on a printed label, a moulded marking or a stamped tag. On lamps and plastic trim it is often on the back or on a mounting tab. On electronic modules it is on the label on the casing, and on filters it is usually printed on the body. Clean the part gently before reading it and photograph the label in good light. Type the number exactly as shown into the search, and if you can't read it, send the photos through the quote form.

Will a part from a BYD or Denza model fit my Fangchengbao?

Sometimes, but only when the OE number matches. Fangchengbao uses group hardware such as Blade battery components, charging equipment, many control units and small electrical parts, and some of these carry the same number across BYD, Denza and Fangchengbao cars. Body panels, lamps, bumpers, frames and suspension parts are usually unique to one model. A part that looks identical can still differ in a mounting point or a connector. Search for the number on your old part to see whether it is also used on other group models.

Do parts interchange between the Bao and Tai models?

Very little. The Bao 5 and Bao 8 are body-on-frame SUVs on the DMO off-road platform, with locking differentials and DiSus-P hydraulic body control on the Bao 8 and higher Bao 5 trims. The Tai 7 is a unibody SUV with double-wishbone front and five-link rear suspension and DiSus-C adaptive damping. The Tai 3 is a compact electric car. Their bodies, chassis and suspension parts are different, even though the Bao 5 and Tai 7 both use a 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine. Treat them as separate cars and check the OE number before assuming anything carries over.

Is the suspension on the Bao 5 and Bao 8 air suspension?

No. DiSus-P, standard on the Bao 8 and fitted to higher Bao 5 trims, is a hydraulic body control system. BYD describes it as an intelligent hydraulic system that uses oil pressure at each corner to change ride height and stiffness, and it can raise or lower each wheel on its own. Its dampers, pipes, valves and pump are hydraulic components. They don't interchange with air suspension parts or with the conventional dampers on Bao 5 versions without it. On a Bao 5, confirm whether the car has DiSus-P, then search by the OE number on the old part.

My car was privately imported from China. Can I still get parts?

Yes. A privately imported car is a Chinese-market Fangchengbao, so the factory catalogue under the Fangchengbao name covers it, even if the same model is sold locally under a Denza or BYD badge. Local export cars can differ in equipment, lighting and charging hardware, so don't rely on a local listing for the export model. Read the OE number on the old part and search for it here. For parts that changed during production, have the build date from the car's identification plate ready when you contact us.

Does left or right-hand drive change the part I need?

For some parts it does. Headlamps, dashboard and trim panels, wiper parts, pedal assemblies and some steering and heating parts can differ between left and right-hand drive cars. Chinese-market Fangchengbao cars are left-hand drive, while export models for markets such as Australia, the UK and Thailand are right-hand drive. Many other parts are the same either way. The OE number on the old part decides, so read it and search for it rather than choosing by model name.

The number on my old part is not listed. Has it been superseded?

It may have been. When the factory revises a part, it issues a new number that replaces the old one, and the newer part normally fits the older car. Fangchengbao models are new and have been updated quickly, so this happens often. The search follows superseded numbers where the link between them is known. If your number still returns nothing, it may be a very recent part, a rare one or a misread label. Send the number and a photo of the label through the quote form and we reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.

Do body repairs on these cars need calibration afterwards?

Often they do. Fangchengbao cars carry cameras and radar sensors for driver assistance, and some of these sit in or behind bumpers, grilles, mirrors and the windscreen. The Chinese-market Bao 8 with Huawei driving assistance also has a roof-mounted lidar sensor. After replacing a part that holds a sensor, or after a repair that moves one, the system usually needs calibrating with suitable equipment. Order any brackets and covers with the main part, and book the calibration with the workshop at the same time.

Which service parts do Fangchengbao owners buy most?

On the plug-in hybrid Bao 5, Bao 8 and Tai 7, the petrol engine still needs oil, filters and spark plugs at the intervals the factory sets, even if the car mostly runs on electricity. Every model needs cabin filters, brake pads and discs, wiper blades, coolant and brake fluid. The Bao cars also need oil changes for their differentials. The Tai 3 has no engine, so its list is shorter. Check the service schedule for your car, then search for each part by the OE number on the one you are replacing.

What should I do if my part is not listed at all?

Not every Fangchengbao part is listed yet, because the range is new and changes quickly. Send us the OE number from the old part, the model and any export badge on the car, plus the build date from the identification plate if the part changed during production. Photos of the part and its label help too. Use the quote form and we reply within 24 hours, usually sooner, with what we can source for that number.
