Fangchengbao Bao 5 (Denza B5) Parts

The Denza B5 is a body-on-frame plug-in hybrid off-roader built on a ladder chassis rather than a raised passenger car, sold from November 2023 with a 1.5T petrol engine paired to front and rear motors and an LFP battery, and known in China as the Fangchengbao Bao 5. The badge on the tailgate will not tell you which car you are looking at or which parts it needs, so match everything to the OE number rather than the name.

Symptom Finder: Known Weak Points

What you see or hearCheck first
Ride height will not change, or a suspension warning appears The DiSus-P hydraulic system, fitted to the higher trims on earlier cars and to every version of the May 2026 flash-charge edition. Check the build date first, since the May 2026 edition uses DiSus-P Ultra, then order by OE number.
Driver-assistance or parking sensor warning after a knock The lidar, cameras, radar units and ultrasonic sensors, and their brackets. A bent bracket can cause the warning on its own, so check it before replacing a sensor.
Differential lock will not engage or its warning stays on The locker actuator and its wiring. Confirm which axles have a locker on this car, then order the part for that axle by OE number.
Engine warning light while the petrol engine is running Start with the lambda and emission sensors on the 1.5-litre turbo engine, the usual first suspects on any petrol engine.
Tailgate drops, rattles or is hard to shut The hinges, check strap and spare wheel carrier. The side-hinged tailgate carries a full-size spare, so match the carrier to the wheel size fitted.
Coolant warning or a falling coolant level Hoses, the expansion tank and temperature sensors. The car cools a battery, two motors and an engine, so trace the leak to its circuit before ordering.
Wind noise or water at a door The door seals and pillar trim. Check for damage from dust and water after off-road use, and order seals by door.

About Fangchengbao Bao 5 (Denza B5) Parts

The Fangchengbao Bao 5 is a five-seat, body-on-frame off-road SUV that went on sale in China in November 2023. Outside China it is sold as the Denza B5, and both names cover the same car. It is a plug-in hybrid. A 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine works with two electric motors, 200 kW at the front and 285 kW at the rear, to drive all four wheels, and every car has a rear differential lock. So the car needs two kinds of parts: the battery, motor and cooling hardware of an electric car, and the oil, filters and emission sensors of a petrol engine. It also has a ladder frame, double-wishbone suspension at both ends and a full-size spare wheel on a side-hinged tailgate. Every part on this page is listed by its OE number, and matching that number is the surest way to confirm a part fits.

What to know before buying Fangchengbao Bao 5 (Denza B5) parts

Start with the badge. The Fangchengbao Bao 5 and the Denza B5 sold outside China are the same car. The trims in China include Discovery, Pilot and Yunnian Flagship. A trim name tells you little about the parts fitted, so order by the OE number on the old part.

The suspension is where the most expensive mistakes happen. The higher trims have DiSus-P, a hydraulic body-control system that adjusts ride height and damping. The other trims use conventional dampers, and the two systems do not share parts. The flash-charge edition of May 2026 has DiSus-P Ultra as standard on every version, so check the build date as well as the system before ordering dampers. Confirm which system is fitted and read the build date on the identification plate, then order by OE number.

Wheel size decides the parts at the back of the car. Lower trims run 265/65 R18 tyres and higher trims 275/55 R20, and the full-size spare on the side-hinged tailgate matches the road wheels. That is why the car measures 4,890 mm long with the 18-inch spare and 4,930 mm with the 20-inch. Order the spare wheel carrier, its cover and the tailgate hardware to suit the wheel size fitted, so read the tyre sidewall first.

Differential locks vary by trim. Every car has a rear locker and an electric centre lock. Pilot and Yunnian Flagship have front and rear lockers, while Discovery and Yunnian Deluxe have a rear locker only, even though the Yunnian Deluxe has DiSus-P. Check what is fitted before ordering front axle or actuator parts.

Driver-assistance hardware varies more than anything else. The Smart Driving edition of February 2025 offered BYD God's Eye C, a camera-based system with no lidar, or Huawei Qiankun ADS 3.0 with a roof-mounted lidar, and the Long Range edition kept both options. Only Qiankun cars carry the lidar. The flash-charge edition uses the God's Eye B set of one lidar, three radar units, 12 ultrasonic sensors and 11 cameras. The two systems use different sensors, so after any damage to the front or the roof, order each sensor and bracket by the OE number on the old unit.

The battery has changed twice while the body stayed the same: 31.8 kWh at launch, 47.8 kWh on the Long Range edition and 46.7 kWh on the flash-charge edition. Order battery and charging parts by build date and OE number, and order painted panels by the colour code on the car.

Before You Order: 7 Checks

  1. Treat a Denza B5 and a Fangchengbao Bao 5 as the same car, and order by the OE number on the old part rather than by trim name.
  2. Check whether the car has DiSus-P hydraulic suspension before ordering any damper, then match the damper by OE number.
  3. Read the build date on the identification plate before ordering battery or charging parts, or DiSus-P dampers, since the later editions changed the battery and the May 2026 edition changed the dampers.
  4. Read the tyre size on the sidewall, 265/65 R18 or 275/55 R20, before ordering tyres, rims or spare wheel parts.
  5. Check which differential locks are fitted before ordering front axle or locker parts.
  6. After damage to the front or the roof of a car with lidar, check the sensors and brackets as well as the panel, and order each by OE number.
  7. Order painted panels by the colour code on the car rather than by colour name.

Generations and Facelifts

The Bao 5 was Fangchengbao's first model. It was shown in August 2023 and went on sale in China in November 2023 in three trims, Discovery, Pilot and Yunnian Flagship. It launched as a five-seat, body-on-frame plug-in hybrid with a 31.8 kWh Blade battery, and DiSus-P hydraulic suspension was fitted only to the higher trims.

The Smart Driving edition followed on 21 February 2025. The body and powertrain stayed the same, but the car gained a choice of BYD God's Eye C, a camera-based system with no lidar, or Huawei Qiankun ADS 3.0 with a roof-mounted lidar, as well as blue light strips on the door mirrors. Roof, mirror and sensor parts on these cars therefore differ from those on earlier cars.

From 2025 the car was also sold outside China as the Denza B5.

The Long Range edition arrived on 20 October 2025 with a 47.8 kWh battery in the same body. On 13 May 2026 the flash-charge edition brought a 46.7 kWh battery with faster charging, the God's Eye B sensor set and DiSus-P Ultra as standard on every version. On these cars the hydraulic system is no longer limited to the higher trims, so for parts the suspension change matters most.

The Bao 5 has had no facelift, and the body shape has not changed since launch. Panels therefore differ by trim, wheel size and sensor fit rather than by year. For dampers, battery and charging parts and sensors, read the build date on the identification plate and match by OE number.

Fangchengbao Bao 5 (Denza B5) Parts: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make sure a part fits my Bao 5 or Denza B5?

Match the OE number. Every part on this site is listed under the OE number printed on the original part, and if the number on the part you are replacing matches the listing, the part fits. This check matters on this car because the trim, suspension type, wheel size and driver-assistance hardware all vary from car to car, even under the same badge. If the old part is missing or its number cannot be read, send us a photo through the quote form and we will reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.

Are the Denza B5 and the Fangchengbao Bao 5 the same car?

Yes. The Bao 5 went on sale in China in November 2023, and since 2025 the same car has also been sold outside China as the Denza B5. The trims in China include Discovery, Pilot and Yunnian Flagship, and a trim name tells you little about which parts are fitted. The OE number does. Read it on the old part and match it to the listing before you order.

How do I know if my car has DiSus-P hydraulic suspension?

Before the May 2026 flash-charge edition, DiSus-P was the hydraulic body-control system on the higher trims, such as the Yunnian Flagship. It adjusts damping and ride height and can raise the body to a claimed 310 mm of ground clearance in off-road modes. On the flash-charge edition, DiSus-P Ultra is standard on every version. Cars without it use conventional dampers, and the two systems do not share dampers. If you are unsure which system your car has, read the OE number on the damper you are replacing and order by that number.

What changed with the flash-charge edition of May 2026?

It went on sale in China on 13 May 2026. It brought a 46.7 kWh battery with faster charging, and DiSus-P Ultra hydraulic body control is standard on every version, so it is no longer limited to the higher trims. It also uses the God's Eye B driver-assistance set of one lidar, three radar units, 12 ultrasonic sensors and 11 cameras. Do not assume its dampers, battery parts or sensors fit earlier cars. Read the build date on the identification plate and match each part by OE number.

Which battery does my car have?

There have been three batteries. The original car and the February 2025 Smart Driving edition use a 31.8 kWh Blade battery. The Long Range edition, launched on 20 October 2025, has a 47.8 kWh pack, and the May 2026 flash-charge edition a 46.7 kWh pack. The body did not change, so the car's shape will not tell you which pack is fitted. Read the build date on the identification plate, and order battery, charging and high-voltage parts by the OE number on the old part.

What tyre sizes and spare wheel does the car use?

There are two sizes: 265/65 R18 on the lower trims and 275/55 R20 on the higher ones, with tyres from several makers fitted at the factory. The spare is a full-size wheel carried on the side-hinged tailgate, and it matches the road wheels. That is why two overall lengths are quoted, 4,890 mm with the 18-inch spare and 4,930 mm with the 20-inch. Read the size on the tyre sidewall before you order tyres, rims or spare wheel parts.

Does every car have a front differential lock?

No. Every Bao 5 has a rear differential lock and an electric centre lock. Pilot and Yunnian Flagship have front and rear locks, while Discovery and Yunnian Deluxe have a rear lock only, even though the Yunnian Deluxe has DiSus-P. A car without a front locker has no front locker parts to replace, so check which locks are on the car before you order actuators, wiring or front axle parts. Then match each part by the OE number on the old one.

Why do I see different lengths quoted for this car?

Because the spare wheel hangs off the back. The body is the same, but a car carrying the 18-inch spare measures 4,890 mm overall and one carrying the 20-inch spare measures 4,930 mm. Every version is 1,970 mm wide with a 2,800 mm wheelbase. For the tailgate, spare carrier and cover, go by the wheel size fitted and the OE number on the old part.

It is a plug-in hybrid. Does it still need oil and filters?

Yes. The Bao 5 has a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and an 83-litre fuel tank, even if much of its daily driving is done on battery alone. The engine still needs engine oil, oil and air filters, and the lambda and emission sensors that any petrol engine has. Plan servicing around the engine as well as the battery, and do not treat the car as fully electric. Order each filter and sensor by the OE number on the part you are replacing.

Does my car have a roof lidar, and what does that mean for repairs?

Only some cars have one. On the Smart Driving edition of 21 February 2025, the roof-mounted lidar came only with Huawei Qiankun ADS 3.0 driver assistance. The other option, BYD God's Eye C, is a camera-based system with no lidar, and the edition also added blue light strips to the door mirrors. The two systems use different hardware, and the Long Range edition kept both options. After damage to the front or the roof, check the lidar, cameras, radar units and ultrasonic sensors as well as the panel. Then order each sensor by the OE number on the old unit.

Which towing parts fit the Bao 5?

Check the handbook for your car's own towing rating, since no towing figure is given here. Tow bars, electrics and fittings can differ by how the car was built, so do not assume that one car's hardware suits another. Before ordering a tow bar, its wiring or recovery points, find the OE number on the fitted part and match it to the listing.

Do the higher and lower trims share parts?

Not always. The higher trims add 275/55 R20 tyres and the lower trims use 265/65 R18 tyres. On cars built before the May 2026 flash-charge edition, the higher trims also add DiSus-P hydraulic suspension while the lower trims use conventional dampers, but the flash-charge edition has DiSus-P Ultra on every version. Dampers, wheels and the spare wheel therefore differ between them, so not every part from a lower-trim car will fit a higher one. Front differential locks also vary by trim. Check what is fitted to the car, then match each part by OE number.

Safety Recalls Affecting This Model

BYD filed a recall covering 6,843 Bao 5 plug-in hybrids built between 16 October 2023 and 1 February 2024, effective 24 January 2025. Bolts on the electrical connections inside the integrated dual-motor controller may not have been torqued correctly, so the joint can loosen and arc, with smoke or fire described in extreme cases. The fix is a free replacement of that controller. The Denza B5 and the Fangchengbao Bao 5 are one vehicle, so a car in this build window carries this recall whichever badge is on the tailgate.

If your car falls inside that build window, establish whether the replacement was carried out before ordering any electrical or drive-unit part. A car that has had the work done is running a different controller to the one it left the factory with, and the part you are matching against should reflect that.
