About Yangwang Parts
Yangwang is the luxury marque of BYD Auto, introduced in January 2023 and placed at the top of the group, above the BYD, Denza and Fangchengbao brands. It was the first to carry BYD's e4 four-motor drive and the first to use the DiSus-P hydraulic body control, and its DiSus-Z and DiSus-X systems appear on no other brand. That matters when you look for Yangwang parts or Yangwang spare parts, because listings written for everyday BYD cars rarely cover the drive, chassis and body parts fitted to these cars.
The range is small and every model is distinct. The U8 is a full-size off-road SUV with four electric motors and a petrol engine that works only as a generator. Pre-sales of the Premium edition opened in April 2023 and it went on sale in September 2023, with the off-road edition following in April 2024. The U9 is a two-door battery-electric supercar, on sale since February 2024. The U7 is a full-size luxury saloon launched in March 2025 as both a battery-electric car and a plug-in hybrid. The U8L, a long-wheelbase version of the U8, followed in September 2025. The U8 has been on the road longest, so most owners start with Yangwang U8 parts, while Yangwang U7 parts cover the newer saloon.
Outside China, Yangwang launched in the United Arab Emirates in 2025 with the U8, and BYD said in late 2025 that it would take the brand across the wider Middle East in early 2026 and later into Europe and the Americas. Many cars abroad arrived as private imports with no local dealer behind them, which is why so many buyers look for Yangwang parts in the UK, Europe or Australia. The parts owners and workshops typically need are service items for the U8 and U8L generator engine, such as oil, air and cabin filters, along with brake pads and discs, wiper blades, lighting, bumpers and body panels after minor damage, cooling parts, and the sensors and electronics behind the driver assistance systems.
Editions and model years change the hardware under the same badge. The 2026 models, launched in March 2026, moved to BYD's second-generation Blade battery, the U8 gained the upgraded DiSus-P Plus hydraulic body control that the U8L has used since its launch, and on the U7 the suspension now depends on the version, so a damper that looks right may not fit. Order genuine Yangwang parts by the number printed on the part you are replacing, and where a part changed partway through production, check the build date on the car's identification plate as well. The OE number on the old part is the fitment check.
What to know before buying Yangwang parts
Start by identifying the model, because the Yangwang cars share very little bodywork. The U8 is a five-seat off-road SUV with a 3,050 mm wheelbase. The U8L is its long-wheelbase sister, 5,400 mm long on a 3,250 mm wheelbase, sold with six seats in three rows and, since August 2026, in a four-seat version with two individual rear seats. An optional Snowcrest interior package gives its own colour scheme and handmade mountain artwork on the trim, so interior pieces from those cars may differ from standard ones. The U7 is a four-door saloon offered with four or five seats, and the U9 is a two-door supercar with butterfly doors. Treat panels, glass, seats and interior trim as model-specific until an OE number shows otherwise.
What the models do share is the e4 layout, with a separate electric motor driving each wheel, and a version of BYD's DiSus active body control. The versions differ, though. The U8 launched with DiSus-P, a hydraulic system built for off-road ride height changes, and the U8L has used the upgraded DiSus-P Plus, with dual-valve hydraulic dampers, since its launch in September 2025. The U7 launched with DiSus-Z and the U9 uses DiSus-X. On the 2026 U7, DiSus-Z is kept for the top battery-electric four-motor version, while the other versions use DiSus-A+, an air body control system with dual-valve, dual-chamber air suspension, so two 2026 U7s can have different suspension. Drive units, dampers, air springs, hydraulic parts and their control modules belong to one system, so order each by its own OE number rather than by power output or appearance. Smaller items such as clips, bulbs and some switches may be common with other BYD group cars, and a matching OE number is the only proof that they are.
Model year changes are real on these cars. The 2026 lineup, launched in March 2026, moved the U7, U8 and U8L to BYD's second-generation Blade battery with flash charging. The U8 moved to DiSus-P Plus, which Chinese press describe as adding dual-valve hydraulic dampers, and the 2026 battery-electric U7 moved to a 150 kWh pack in place of the earlier 135.5 kWh pack. Battery, charging, cooling and suspension parts can therefore differ between an early car and a 2026 car of the same name. Where a part changed during production, read the build date on the car's identification plate and match it with the OE number on the old part.
If the car is a private import, find out where it was first sold. Cars built for China and for the UAE are both left-hand drive, and the UAE U8 was offered with an Arabian Edition package with its own gold exterior details and regional badging, so some trim pieces differ from the Chinese car. Match parts that depend on the driving side, such as lamps, dashboard parts and wiper parts, by OE number. If the number on the old part is missing or unreadable, send us what you can see through the quote form and we will reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.

Yangwang Platforms and Shared Parts
Every Yangwang uses e4, BYD's four-motor layout with a separate electric motor driving each wheel. It gives independent torque control at each corner, and on the U8 and U7 it allows manoeuvres such as the tank turn. Each model pairs e4 with its own version of BYD's DiSus active body control. The U8 uses DiSus-P, a hydraulic system rather than air suspension, which can raise the body for off-road clearance, and it moved to the upgraded DiSus-P Plus with dual-valve hydraulic dampers for 2026. The U8L has used DiSus-P Plus since its launch in September 2025. The U7 introduced DiSus-Z. On the 2026 U7, DiSus-Z is kept for the top battery-electric four-motor version and the other versions use DiSus-A+, a dual-valve, dual-chamber air suspension. The U9 uses DiSus-X, which can adjust each wheel independently.
Energy storage comes from BYD's lithium iron phosphate batteries. The U9 uses an 80 kWh Blade battery. The U7 was launched with a 52.4 kWh pack in the plug-in hybrid and a 135.5 kWh pack in the battery-electric car, replaced by a 150 kWh pack on the 2026 car. The U8 and U8L carry a smaller pack charged by a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine that never drives the wheels. From March 2026 the U7, U8 and U8L moved to the second-generation Blade battery with flash charging.
For interchange, the models share engineering ideas far more than they share parts. Do not assume that a drive unit, damper, hydraulic component or battery part from one Yangwang fits another, or that one from an early car fits a 2026 car. Very little of this hardware appears on mainstream BYD cars. Match every part by OE number.
Finding the OE Number on a Yangwang Part
On Yangwang parts, the OE number is usually on a printed label or a moulded or stamped marking on the part itself. Lamps, control modules, sensors and cameras normally carry a label on the housing. Body panels and trim tend to carry the number moulded on the reverse face, and hydraulic and mechanical parts may have it stamped into the metal or on a tag. Read it in good light and copy every character, since a single character can separate two different parts. The original box also carries the number, but the part itself is the safer source if you are unsure the box belongs to it. When the factory revises a part, a newer number can supersede the older one, so the number on your part may differ from the one now current. Type the number into our search exactly as printed, and check the result against the number on your part.

Before You Order: 8 Checks
- Work out whether the car is a U8, U8L, U7 or U9 from its body style and seat rows, then note it down before searching.
- On a U8, confirm whether it is the Premium or off-road edition before you order roof, sensor or exterior equipment.
- Find the OE number on the old part and type it into the search exactly as printed.
- For suspension, battery or charging parts, read the build date on the identification plate to place the car before or after the 2026 update, then match the OE number.
- Order drive units, dampers and hydraulic parts strictly by OE number, never by power output or appearance.
- If your number has been superseded, check the replacement suits your car's build date before you buy.
- For an imported car, find out whether it was first sold in China or the UAE and match regional trim by OE number.
- If the part is not listed, send the OE number and clear photos through the quote form, and expect our reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.
Why Yangwang Parts Supply Is Different
Yangwang is a young brand, and its official network outside China is only just forming. The first overseas launch was in the United Arab Emirates in 2025, BYD has said the brand will spread across the wider Middle East from early 2026 and later reach Europe and the Americas, and in most other countries, including the UK and Australia, the cars on the road are private imports. Parts for them come from the factory supply chain in China, and genuine stock is ordered against the same OE numbers the factory uses.
Those numbers do not stay fixed. When BYD revises a part during production, to improve it, change a supplier or suit a new model year, the revised part is given a new number that supersedes the old one. The 2026 update is a clear example, with a new generation of battery on three models and upgraded hydraulic body control on the U8. A superseded number usually points to a part that also suits the earlier car, but some revisions only fit later builds, so check a supersession rather than assume it.
Sharing follows the engineering. Yangwang was set up to carry BYD's newest technology first, so the four-motor e4 drive, the high-voltage battery packs and much of the body are specific to the brand and often to one model. Body control is more mixed. The DiSus-Z and DiSus-X systems are found only on Yangwang cars, while the DiSus-P hydraulic system first fitted to the U8 is also used on the Fangchengbao Bao 5, and other DiSus versions appear on mainstream BYD and Denza models. Commodity items further from that core are more likely to be common with other BYD group cars. For the buyer this has two consequences. Brand-specific parts can take longer to source, so order early for planned work. And a part that looks identical on a cheaper BYD model is only a substitute if its OE number matches or supersedes yours.
Yangwang Parts: Frequently Asked Questions
What is Yangwang, and how does it relate to BYD?
Yangwang is BYD's luxury marque, introduced in January 2023 and owned by BYD Auto. It sits at the top of the group, above the BYD, Denza and Fangchengbao brands, and it was the first to use BYD's e4 four-motor drive and the DiSus-P hydraulic body control. Its DiSus-Z and DiSus-X systems are unique to the brand, although DiSus-P is also fitted to the Fangchengbao Bao 5. Some smaller parts may also appear on other group cars, but most drive and body hardware is specific to Yangwang. Start any order with the OE number on the part you are replacing and search for it here.
Which Yangwang models are there?
The U8 is a full-size off-road SUV. The Premium edition went on sale in September 2023 after pre-sales opened that April, and the off-road edition followed in April 2024. The U9 is a two-door battery-electric supercar, on sale since February 2024, with later Track Edition and Xtreme versions. The U7 is a full-size saloon launched in March 2025 as a battery-electric car and a plug-in hybrid. The U8L, a long-wheelbase U8, arrived in September 2025 with six seats, and a four-seat version followed in August 2026. Identify which of these you have, then find the OE number on the old part and search for it.
How do I tell a U8 from a U8L?
The U8L is the long-wheelbase version, 5,400 mm long on a 3,250 mm wheelbase, where the U8 is 5,319 mm long on a 3,050 mm wheelbase. The U8 seats five in two rows. The U8L seats six in three rows, or four in the four-seat version launched in August 2026. Both use four motors and a petrol engine that only generates electricity. The U8L has had DiSus-P Plus hydraulic body control from launch, while the U8 used DiSus-P until its 2026 update. Do not assume that body panels, glass, seats and interior trim carry across. Count the seat rows, then match the OE number on the old part before you order.
What is the difference between the U8 Premium and off-road editions?
The Premium edition is the road-focused luxury version, with the full DiPilot driver assistance system that uses three lidar units among its sensors. The off-road edition, added in April 2024, is built for rough terrain and remote travel. It comes as standard with a snorkel, all-terrain tyres, satellite communication and a long-range infrared night vision system. A vehicle-mounted drone kit, including its dock, is an extra-cost option rather than standard equipment. Sensor, roof and exterior parts can therefore differ between the two. Confirm the edition and any fitted options from the car, then order by the OE number on the part you are replacing.
Where do I find the OE number on a Yangwang part?
On most parts it sits on a printed label, a moulded marking or a stamp on the part itself, usually on a face that is hidden once the part is fitted. Lamps, control modules, cameras and sensors normally carry a label on the housing, while panels and trim often carry a moulded number on the back. Clean the area gently, read it in good light and take a photo so you have a copy. Then type the full number into our search exactly as printed.
Are Yangwang parts shared with other BYD models?
Some are, but many are not. The e4 four-motor drive was developed for Yangwang, and the DiSus-Z and DiSus-X body control systems are found only on this brand, so drive units and suspension hardware are best treated as brand-specific. The DiSus-P hydraulic system of the U8 is also used on the Fangchengbao Bao 5, but a shared system does not mean shared part numbers. Smaller items such as some clips, bulbs or switches may be common across the BYD group. Only a matching OE number shows that a part interchanges, so search the number on your old part before ordering.
Is the U8 suspension an air suspension?
No. The U8 and U8L use hydraulic body control, which BYD describes as an intelligent hydraulic body control system, and Chinese technical coverage explains that BYD chose hydraulics over air for an off-roader. There are no air springs, so the dampers, hydraulic cylinders, pump, valves and control parts all belong to this system alone. The U8L has had the upgraded DiSus-P Plus, with dual-valve hydraulic dampers, since its launch in September 2025, and the U8 moved from DiSus-P to DiSus-P Plus with the 2026 model in March 2026. On a U8, check the build date on the car's identification plate, then order by the OE number on the part you are replacing.
What changed on the 2026 Yangwang models?
The 2026 lineup, launched in March 2026, moved the U7, U8 and U8L to BYD's second-generation Blade battery and added flash charging. The U8 gained DiSus-P Plus with dual-valve hydraulic dampers, which the U8L has had since launch. On the U7, DiSus-Z is kept for the top battery-electric four-motor version and the other versions use DiSus-A+ air suspension. The 2026 battery-electric U7 moved to a 150 kWh pack, replacing the 135.5 kWh pack, and power output differs by version, up to 1,000 kW. Treat battery, charging and suspension parts from earlier and later cars as different until the OE number says otherwise. Read the build date on the identification plate and match the number on the old part.
Does the U8 engine need servicing if it does not drive the wheels?
Yes. The 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine in the U8 and U8L is not mechanically connected to the wheels and runs only as a generator, but it is still a complete engine with oil, filters, coolant and an exhaust system. Service schedules are usually set by time as well as distance, and a generator engine can run while the car covers little ground, so a service may fall due at low mileage. Remove the old service parts, note their OE numbers and order the replacements by those numbers.
Do the battery-electric and plug-in hybrid U7 share parts?
The two versions have different bodies. The battery-electric U7 is 5,265 mm long on a 3,160 mm wheelbase, and the plug-in hybrid is 5,360 mm long on a 3,200 mm wheelbase. Both launched with four motors, 960 kW in total and DiSus-Z body control. On the 2026 cars, DiSus-Z is kept for the top battery-electric four-motor version and the rest use DiSus-A+ air suspension, and power output varies by version. The plug-in hybrid adds a petrol engine, while the battery-electric car carries a 135.5 kWh pack on the earlier car and a 150 kWh pack on the 2026 car. Order suspension, drive, battery and engine parts by the OE number on the old part.
Can I get parts for a Yangwang U9?
The U9 is a low-volume two-door supercar, so most of its parts are unique to it. It uses four motors, an 80 kWh Blade battery and the DiSus-X body control system, which can adjust each wheel independently. The Track Edition and the Xtreme were built in very small numbers with far more powerful drive units, so never assume their parts match the standard car. Search the OE number on your old part, and if nothing appears, send it through the quote form and we will reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.
My Yangwang is a private import. Can I still get the right parts?
Yes. A privately imported Yangwang uses the same parts as the same model, edition and build sold in its home market, so the part numbers do not change because the car has moved country. Find out where it was first sold, since trim can differ, and the UAE U8 was offered with an Arabian Edition package with its own exterior details. Keep the parts you remove until the new ones are fitted, because the OE number on them is your best reference. Then search that number here.
Does left or right hand drive change the parts I need?
It can. Yangwang cars have so far been sold in left-hand-drive markets such as China and the UAE, so most cars abroad are left-hand drive. Parts that depend on the driving side, including dashboard parts, steering parts, headlamps with a dipped beam pattern and some wiper parts, differ between the two. If a car has been converted, the parts fitted may no longer match its original build. The OE number on the part you are removing decides, so search that number rather than the model name.
Why does my OE number show a different, newer number?
When the factory revises a part, it issues a new OE number that supersedes the old one. The change may be an improvement, a new supplier or a model year update, such as the 2026 move to a new battery generation and to DiSus-P Plus on the U8. A superseded number normally leads to a part that suits the earlier car, but some revisions only fit later builds. Search the number from your old part, and if a newer number appears, ask us through the quote form to confirm it suits your build date.
What should I do if the part I need is not listed?
Send us the OE number from the old part through the quote form, with clear photos of the number and the part, plus the model, edition and build date from the car's identification plate. If the number is worn away, photos of the part from several sides and of where it fits on the car help us identify it. We reply within 24 hours, usually sooner. Keep the old part until the replacement has been confirmed, since you may need to read or compare it again.
