Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14129134-00
How do I know this is the left headlamp and not the right one?
This listing is for the left headlamp only, built to OE number 14129134-00 for the BYD Seagull. Do not judge left and right by memory or by which side the crack is on. Take the old lamp off the car and find the number stamped on it, then compare that against 14129134-00. If the two match, this is the correct lamp for your car. If they do not match, hold off ordering and look again before you commit to a left-hand part.
What is the difference between Original/Genuine and Aftermarket for this headlamp?
Original/Genuine and Aftermarket are listed here as two separate tiers, though nothing in the details sets out exactly how they differ from each other. The photographs on this page show each tier as supplied, so before deciding, look through them and weigh what you see against the lamp you are removing from the car. Doing this side by side is a better guide than the tier name on its own, so give yourself a moment to compare them properly before placing an order for either version.
The number on my old headlamp is different, can I still use this one?
A different number on your old lamp does not automatically mean this is the wrong part. This listing is also filed under EQEA-4121010B, so the numbers you see are not the only ones in use for this lamp. Rather than relying on the number alone, check that the side matches, that it fits the same position at the front of the car, and that the fixings line up with what is currently fitted. If the side, the position and the fixings all agree, treat that as your confirmation rather than the number by itself.
