Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13533585-00
Is this the correct side for my BYD Seagull door?
This is listed as the left front door version, in black rubber, supplied new. A left hand strip will not fit a right hand door opening, so getting the side right matters before you order. Rather than guess from the old part alone, check the fitment table on this page against the model and details on your registration document. That confirms whether this left hand strip, OE 13533585-00, is the one your car actually needs before you place the order.
Is there a difference between the Original and Aftermarket version of this weatherstrip?
Take a look at the photographs on this page before you decide. This part is made in China for BYD and listed under OE number 13533585-00, also referenced as EQEA-6107115. The photographs show the actual finish and profile of the weatherstrip you would receive, so you can compare it against the strip currently fitted to your door before ordering. If your old part carries the same OE number, the fit and material shown will match. Check the number stamped or printed on your original strip against the one listed here to confirm you have the right side and the right door.
The number on my old strip does not match 13533585-00, is this still right?
If the number on your old strip does not match 13533585-00, do not assume it is wrong straight away. This part is also listed under the reference EQEA-6107115, so check that code against your old part as well. Only treat this as the correct strip if one of those two numbers matches what is on the part you are removing. If neither number appears anywhere on it, this listing does not confirm a match, and you should keep checking rather than fit it on the strength of the description alone.
How will this weatherstrip be delivered?
The packaging details for this strip are shown on this page. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. While you wait, confirm the model and the model year as written on your registration document, since that is what the fitment for this OE number is checked against. Having that detail ready means there is nothing left to sort out once the parcel arrives.
Does this weatherstrip need painting to match the car?
No painting is mentioned for this part. It is a black rubber strip, and the finish listed is fixed rather than something you choose or adjust. If you need it in a different colour or with a specific trim finish, that is not something this listing includes, so use the quote route on this page and describe exactly what you need. Someone can then confirm whether a version to match your car is available before you commit to buying the standard listed version shown here.
