Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13440428-00
Which side is this door for and how do I check?
This listing is for the right rear door shell. Getting the side right matters, because a door built for one side will not line up with the hinges and locks on the other side of the car. If you are not certain which side you need, use the fitment table on this page to check it against your car before you order, so the door you receive is the one that actually fits.
What is the difference between the Original/Genuine and Aftermarket options?
Only one quality tier is listed for this part, Original/Genuine, made by BYD. There is no Aftermarket option shown here to compare it against, so this is the version on offer. To be sure it is correct for your car, check the model and the model year exactly as they appear on your registration document before you order, rather than going by the car's age alone.
The number on my old door does not match, what do I do?
If the number on your old door does not match 13440428-00, do not order yet. Have the old part in front of you before you order, so you can check the number properly rather than going from memory or a note written down earlier. A mismatch usually means it is not the right shell for your car, so take a moment to look properly before you buy.
How does a part this size get delivered?
The packaging details for this door shell are shown on this page. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. A part like this is not something to order on a guess, since getting the wrong one wastes the delivery. Before you place the order, check the number stamped on the part you are taking off against 13440428-00, so the one that arrives is the one you need.
What is this door shell made of and does it matter?
Metal is what this door shell is made from. It is supplied new, made in China, with BYD listed as the genuine maker of the part. If your supplier or parts catalogue uses a different reference for this door, it is also listed as EM2E-6201019/77, which is worth having to hand when you are confirming you have found the correct listing for your car.
