Frequently Asked Questions: OE 17833042-00
How do I know this trim is right for the right side of the car?
This is listed as the right rear sill trim panel in Eclipse Blue, OE number 17833042-00, also listed as SFHC-5402540-00LBT. Before you order, have the old panel off the car and in front of you, and match its shape and fitting points to what you are buying. This is the only right hand rear sill panel listed for the Fangchengbao Bao 5 in this colour, so if the shape or fittings do not match, hold off ordering and check again before you commit.
The OE number on my old part is different, will this one still fit?
If the number on your old part does not match 17833042-00, do not assume this one is close enough. Fangchengbao lists this panel under one OE number here, and the item is also known as SFHC-5402540-00LBT, so check both before ruling it out. If neither number matches, look instead at the side, the position and the fixings on your own car, since sill trims are shaped to sit in one place only and a slight difference at the fixings means it will not seat properly.
Does this come ready painted to match my car?
Yes, it needs finishing to match, because this panel is only listed in one colour, Eclipse Blue. It is made of plastic and comes new, but if your car is a different colour or shade you will need to have it finished afterwards. Rather than guess whether it will match, use the quote route on this page to check exactly what is available for your car before you commit to the price shown. That way you know upfront if extra finishing work is needed once it arrives.
