Frequently Asked Questions: OE 18696901-00
Is this the right hand trim strip or the left?
This listing is for the right side only. It is the piano black strip that fits over the door and pillar area on that side of the BYD Sealion 05 EV, matched to OE number 18696901-00. Open the photographs on this page before you order, so you can match the shape and mounting points against the trim you are taking off the car. It is also listed under the code UNEA-2803118/77-00BX, which is worth checking against your old part as well.
Will this trim strip fit my Sealion 05 EV?
This listing covers the right side curtain airbag trim strip, OE 18696901-00, for the BYD Sealion 05 EV. Before ordering, check that the old strip on your car sits on the right side, in the same position along the pillar, and uses the same fixings as this one. If any of those three do not match what you see on your car, this is not the strip you need. Matching the old part to the listing this way is the surest way to get the fitment right first time.
The number on my old part does not match 18696901-00, what now?
That mismatch is worth sorting out before you order. Rather than guessing between versions, find the model and the model year exactly as printed on your registration document, since that is the detail that tells you which build of the Sealion 05 EV your car actually is. This trim strip is listed under OE number 18696901-00, also shown as UNEA-2803118/77-00BX. The delivery time is 8 to 25 days, from order to door.
How quickly will this trim strip be delivered?
This right side trim strip can be ordered online from this page. Delivery takes 8 to 25 days from your order to your door. Before ordering, have the old trim strip out of the car and to hand, and check it against OE 18696901-00 and the alternative reference UNEA-2803118/77-00BX. Getting this checked first avoids the wrong trim arriving. The shipping cost for your country is shown on this page and confirmed at checkout before you pay.
Does this need painting to match my interior?
No separate finishing is needed for this strip beyond the piano black colour it comes in, so it arrives in that finish. Rather than guess whether that matches your interior, check the number stamped on the part you are removing, since colour alone does not confirm you have the right one. If that number differs from 18696901-00, look for the alternative reference UNEA-2803118/77-00BX before deciding either way.
