Bonnet latch assembly, OE 12581832-00 (BYD reference EL-8402530), a stamped-steel hood lock mechanism with an integrated ajar-sensor lead. It fits BYD e3 2019-2026, Dolphin 2021-2025, e2 Glory 2019-2025 and e2 2019-2025. The latch bolts into the engine bay at the front slam panel and holds the bonnet closed against the striker. A sticky or seized hood catch keeps the bonnet from latching securely, so replace the full mechanism rather than the spring alone.
