Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14108502-00
Why can I not just buy this online like a normal part?
Because it sits within the Airbags and SRS category, this part is handled through a checked order process rather than an instant online purchase. The OE number, 14108502-00, needs matching against your specific car before anything is confirmed, and that matching is done through the quote route on this page. Start by checking the fitment table on this page against your vehicle, then use the quote route to submit your details and receive confirmed pricing. This ensures the module ordered is the one shown against your car in the fitment table.
Is this the left or right side airbag and how do I know for sure?
Yes, this module is specifically listed for the left side of the car, not the right. Have a look at the photographs on this page and compare them closely against the side you are removing from your own car before ordering. Check the shape, the fixing points and how it sits in the car, since a left and a right version can look very close to each other at a glance. If what you see does not match the photographs shown here, stop and hold off on placing your order until you are certain.
Will this fit my car if it is not exactly a Fangchengbao Tai 3?
According to the fitment table on this page, this module fits a single model, the Fangchengbao Tai 3, and no other car is shown. Do not assume a similar model will automatically take the same part. If your car sits close to this one but you are unsure, checking the alternative reference this module also carries, URE-5820700, is a useful way to confirm you have the right component before ordering. Comparing that reference against any documentation for your own car is worth doing before you buy.
The OE number on my old airbag module is not 14108502-00, does that matter?
Start with the side, since this module is listed for the left only, so check that against the part you are removing. Then look at where the old unit sits and how it is fixed in place, and match that position and fixing pattern to what you see here. This is a curtain airbag for the Fangchengbao Tai 3, also listed as URE-5820700. If the side, position or fixings on your car do not match, do not fit it. Use the fitment table on this page to confirm before you order.
Can I fit this myself or does it need a professional?
This is not a job to take on without the right training, given what it is part of. Before you order, check the model and the model year exactly as they appear on your registration document, since that is what confirms you have the correct left curtain airbag module for your Fangchengbao Tai 3. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Once confirmed, arrange fitting through someone qualified to work on this system rather than doing it on the drive.
How long will it take to get this and how does it turn up?
The packaging details are shown on this page. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Because of that combined timescale, it is sensible to order in good time rather than close to when the part is needed. Use the quote route on this page to confirm your order and get a delivery estimate that matches your address.
