Frequently Asked Questions: OE 17521082-00
Can I just order this airbag module online without a quote?
No, an airbag module goes through the quote route on this page rather than straight into a basket. Before you request one, check the side, left, and confirm the position and fixings on your own car match what is fitted now. That way the quote matches the module you actually need. Have the OE number 17521082-00 to hand as well, since it helps match the listing to your car and speeds up the quote.
Which side is this airbag module for and how do I check?
Side is easy to get wrong on airbag modules, so compare the photographs on this page carefully against the module you are holding before ordering. This one is listed as the left hand, driver side unit for the Yuan UP and Yuan PLUS, finished in dark black plastic. If what you see in the photographs does not look the same as your own module, stop and check again rather than assuming this is the right side.
What if the number on my old airbag module is not the same as this one?
Check the OE number on your old module against 17521082-00 before anything else. This part is also listed under SC3E-5820100A-00A7, so either of those can be treated as a match. If your number is different from both, this is not the right module for your car, however close the description looks. Use the quote route on this page and give the exact number from your old part, so the correct one can be identified rather than guessed at.
Should I fit this driver airbag module myself, or get a professional to do it?
This sits within airbags and SRS, so treat it as a safety part rather than a simple swap. It fits the left side, in the interior, and matches OE 17521082-00, also listed as SC3E-5820100A-00A7, for the BYD Yuan UP and Yuan PLUS. Before you order, get the old module out and hold it up so you can read its number and confirm which side it came from. Getting the module in should be left to a professional. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote.
