Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13243500-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
Is this the genuine or an aftermarket fan for the BYD Dolphin?
This listing does not split into a genuine and an aftermarket tier, only one version is offered, under OE number 13243500-00. It is also listed under the reference HDFA-1308010F, which points to the same assembly under a different number. If you are trying to work out which tier your old fan came from, check whether the marking on the housing reads 13243500-00 or HDFA-1308010F, both lead to this same part.
The number on my old fan does not match 13243500-00, is this still right?
A number that does not match is worth stopping on before you order. Have a look at the photographs on this page and compare the housing shape, the connector and the mounting points against your old fan. If those match closely but the printed number differs, it may still be the same assembly listed under an earlier or later reference. If they do not match, do not fit this fan on the strength of the number alone.
What is this fan housing made of?
The housing is plastic, coloured black. It is listed as the only version for this fitment, so before you order, find the model and model year exactly as printed on your registration document and match it against this listing. That is the detail that decides whether this is the right part for your Dolphin. If your registration document shows a different model year to what is listed here, hold off and check further rather than guessing.
Where does this cooling fan fit on the car?
This is the electric cooling fan assembly for the BYD Dolphin, fitted in the engine bay as part of the radiator and fan setup. It is a moulded plastic assembly, not a fan that can be swapped in piece by piece, so it goes in as one complete unit at the position your old one came from. To be sure it matches your car, check the OE number 13243500-00 against the marking on the fan you are removing, or use the fitment table on this page before you order.
