Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13620880-00
What is the difference between original and aftermarket for this fan?
Only the version listed on this page is available to order here, so there is no tier choice to make right now. Before you order, find the number stamped on the fan assembly you are taking off and check it against 13620880-00, or the alternative EQEA-1308010, so you know it matches your BYD Seagull. If the number differs, hold off and use the quote route on this page rather than fitting a part that does not match.
What if the number on my old fan does not match this one?
If the number on your old fan does not match 13620880-00, treat that as the answer, not a detail to argue with. Have the old part in front of you before you order, not just a memory of the number, because the housing itself is what tells you which fan is fitted to your car. Read the number straight off the fan you are removing and compare it directly against 13620880-00. Only order once the two agree. Ordering from a title or a photograph alone is how the wrong fan ends up on the counter.
What is the cooling fan assembly made of?
Yes, the housing and blades are moulded in black plastic. Before ordering, check the side, the position and the fixings on your own car, since the fan sits in the engine bay and needs to match those points exactly. The listed OE number is 13620880-00, also shown as EQEA-1308010, so match either one against the marking on your old fan first.
Where does the cooling fan assembly fit on the car?
It sits in the engine bay, mounted against the radiator on the BYD Seagull. To confirm how it sits and how the connector and housing are arranged before you order, take a look at the photographs on this page and compare the shape against what is currently fitted on your car. This is listed under OE number 13620880-00 and also appears as EQEA-1308010, so check that against the number on your old part first.
