Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14040104-00
What if the number on my old part is different to this one?
Check the number stamped on the old cover before you order. This listing is built around OE number 14040104-00, also shown as SFHA-5302220. If the figures on your part do not match either of these, this is not the right cover to fit. Take the number from the old part and search for it directly, rather than going by the model name alone, so you end up with the exact panel your car needs.
What material is this engine cover made from, and is that a problem?
This is a plastic engine cover, moulded to fit the engine bay area rather than a metal panel. Plastic keeps it light for its bay location and it is supplied new. Have a look at the photographs on this page before ordering, so you can see the shape and fittings match the cover you are removing. If your old cover has brackets, clips or trim that do not appear in the photographs, check the fitment table on this page for the right listing.
Where does this engine cover fit on the Bao 5?
It sits in the engine bay, over the top of the engine. Before you buy, check the side, the position and the fixings on your own car, since covers in this area can differ between models even when they look similar in photos. Match these details against your existing cover before ordering, rather than going on the vehicle name alone. This is made of plastic, so handle it carefully when removing the old one and fitting the replacement, and check the fixings are all present and undamaged.
