Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14744555-00
Is this trim strip for the left or right side of my BYD e2?
Left and right trim strips look almost identical, and it is easy to pick the wrong one from memory alone. This piece is built for the left side, fitted to the outside of the front bumper. Before you order, open the fitment table on this page and match it against your BYD e2, which confirms the side properly rather than relying on the listing title alone.
What is the difference between the two quality tiers for this trim strip?
This page lists it against the BYD OE number 14744555-00, made in China and supplied new. It is also listed under the reference ELEAD-2803121. If you want to compare it against an Original or Genuine listing rather than this one, search that number on this page or ask us to match it. Check the fitment table on this page before ordering to be sure it matches your BYD e2.
The number on my old trim strip is different, can I still order this one?
If the number on your old part does not match 14744555-00, do not order on the strength of the number alone. Check the side, the position and the fixings on your own car instead. This is the left front trim strip, black plastic, fitted to the outside of the bumper. Match those points, side, position and fixing, against what is currently on the car, and use that comparison rather than the printed number to confirm this is the right one.
What is this trim strip made of?
It is black plastic. That keeps it light for an exterior trim piece and easy to handle when you swap it over, but it also means it is not the part to force into place if it does not sit right first time. If you are not certain the fitment table on this page covers your car, use the quote route on this page and send the OE number so it can be checked against your BYD e2 before you order.
Will I need to get this trim strip painted to match my car?
No separate finishing step is described for this trim strip, since it is supplied ready finished in black. Have a look at the photos on this page to see the exact finish and texture before you order, which is the clearest way to judge whether it matches your car. This is a new piece rather than a used or refurbished one, useful to keep in mind when comparing it with the trim currently fitted.
