Frequently Asked Questions: OE 17899220-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
Will this fit my Yuan UP if the trim level is different?
This bumper is made for the Yuan UP and is not shown for any other model. If your car is close but not an exact match, do not guess from the name alone. Look at the photographs on this page against the shape and mounting points on your own car before you order, since a similar looking bumper on a related model can still be a different fit entirely.
Whats the difference between genuine and aftermarket for this bumper?
Original or Genuine means the part comes from BYD, the maker of your car. Aftermarket is produced to the same fitment by another manufacturer. Both are listed as new. To make sure you order against the right listing, check the model and the model year exactly as printed on your registration document, since a small change in year or trim can move you onto a different fitment even within the same model name.
My old bumper has a different number stamped on it, is that a problem?
It can be. This part carries OE number 17899220-00 and is also listed as SC3E-2803111H/30, so a different number on your old part does not always mean a wrong match. Rather than guess from the number alone, work through the fitment table on this page and match your car against it directly. That table is the reliable way to confirm this is the right bumper before you commit to an order.
How will a part this size actually reach me?
Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. The packaging details are shown on this page. Because of its size, it is best arranged through the quote route on this page, so delivery to your address can be planned and costed properly before you place the order. The shipping cost is confirmed with your quote.
What is the upper main body made of, plastic or metal?
This is a plastic bumper, so it will only ever be as good as the surface it is bolted to. Before you order, check the side rails and mounting brackets on your own car for cracks or old repairs, since a damaged fixing point can throw the new panel out of line however sound it is. Confirm the position matches your car by checking the OE number, 17899220-00, against the number on your old part, then use the fitment table on this page to be certain.
Where does this part actually go on the car?
This is the front upper main body of the bumper, the large visible panel across the nose of the car rather than a lower valance or a trim strip. If you are unsure whether your damaged part is this section or a separate piece nearby, the alternative reference SC3E-2803111H/30 that this part is also listed under can help you cross check it against other listings or your parts documentation before ordering.
