Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14202930-00
Is this the left or right door latch for my Bao 5?
This one is listed as the left side, fitted to the front door. If you are not certain which door is on your car, do not guess from memory. Match this listing against the fitment table on this page before you order, so the side lines up with the door you are replacing. The delivery time is 8 to 25 days, from order to door.
The number on my old latch does not match 14202930-00, what should I do?
Do not worry if the number on your old latch does not match 14202930-00. Check the model and the model year as printed on your registration document, and use those details to confirm you are ordering for the correct car. Keep the old latch to hand while you check, since it is what you will compare against once the new latch arrives. This is the detail to rely on if the stamped number differs from the one listed here.
What is the front door latch made of?
This latch is made of metal, finished in black. A metal body copes with the daily pull of the door handle far better than a moulded plastic housing would, since it takes that repeated mechanical load without wearing at the pivot points. Have a look at the photographs on this page so you can see its shape and finish before ordering. If it does not match your old latch, check the OE number 14202930-00, or the alternative reference SFH-6105200B, against the one printed on the part you are removing.
Will this latch need painting to match my car?
No finishing is needed. This latch is supplied in black, a fitted colour rather than paint, so there is nothing to blend in even though it fits inside the door where it is out of sight. Before you fit it, check the number stamped on the part you are removing against the OE number 14202930-00, so you can confirm this listing matches what is currently on your car. That check takes a moment and settles the matter better than colour or appearance can.
