Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14938716-00
Why does this air duct suit only one model?
The fitment table on this page runs to a single model, the BYD Qin PLUS DM-i. That is a tight list and it should be read as the limit of what has been matched, not as a hint about what else might work. This duct fits that model alone, so a duct for another car is not an equivalent here. Check the OE number 14938716-00 against the duct you are replacing, then read the fitment table on this page. If your car is absent, use the quote route.
The duct out of my car reads HA5H-8123150. Is this the right page?
Yes it is. Two references belong to this duct, 14938716-00 and HA5H-8123150, and they are two names for one part. If the moulding you have taken out shows the second number, you are in the right place. Check it before ordering rather than afterwards, since two references that look close are not interchangeable. If neither reference matches what you are holding, send us the number you have found through the quote route along with your model, and we will trace it for you.
When should I expect this duct to turn up?
Allow 8 to 25 days for delivery, counted from your order to your door. Count both, in that order. If the dash is already apart in your workshop, that matters, so get the order started before the strip down rather than during it. Ask on the quote route beforehand if you want the current standing of this OE number. The shipping cost for your country is shown on this page and confirmed at checkout before you pay.
What is this duct made from, and does it matter?
This duct is plastic. Keep it boxed until the dash work is under way so the edges stay clean. The material is the only detail given, with nothing on tolerances or clip fit, so ask on the quote route if you need to know more.
Where does this duct sit in the car?
It mounts in the interior, and it sits as the centre face vent air duct behind the instrument panel, so it is a part you reach through the dash rather than one visible from the driving seat. No side is given for it, meaning there is no left or right variant to select. Confirm your car against the fitment table on this page before ordering, since it is matched to a single model. If your vehicle is not in the table, put the details through the quote route instead.
Why is there no aftermarket option on this duct?
None has been sourced. BYD is named as the genuine manufacturer and there is no aftermarket maker for 14938716-00, so the Original/Genuine part is the single version and the price shown on this page belongs to it. There is no hidden second choice waiting behind the listing. Should an aftermarket duct be added to the catalogue for this reference, it would show on this page as a second tier. In the meantime, if you want us to look again for something that suits your car, the quote route is open.
