Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13856218-00
Is this definitely the left-hand lamp for my car?
Yes, this one is listed for the left side of the front, fitted where the position lamp sits at the front of the car. To be certain before you order, look for the OE number stamped or moulded onto the old lamp itself and check it reads 13856218-00, or the alternative reference SA3HK-4102100. If neither figure matches what you can see on the part you are removing, do not fit this lamp, as it will be for the other side.
Whats the difference between the original and aftermarket version of this lamp?
Genuine parts are made by the vehicle manufacturer to the exact original specification, while aftermarket parts are produced by other manufacturers to fit the same position and function, often at a lower price. Both do the same job, but finish and fit can vary between aftermarket makers. If you want to compare what is actually on offer for this lamp and see the price for each option side by side, use the quote route on this page rather than guessing from the listing alone.
What if the number on my old lamp is different to 13856218-00?
If the OE number stamped on the lamp you are taking off does not match 13856218-00 or the alternative reference SA3HK-4102100, do not fit this one on the strength of the description alone. Look at the photographs on this page and compare them against your old lamp before you order, since a close description is not proof of an exact match. If it still looks wrong, check the fitment table on this page rather than guessing from memory.
