Frequently Asked Questions: OE 17589029-00
How do I know this is the right side for my car?
This module is listed for the left side only. Stand at the rear of the car and check which side the existing camera sits on, then look at the mounting position and the fixings holding the unit in place. Match these against what you see here before ordering. If the position or the fixings do not look the same, this part is not for that side of the car. Confirm this by looking at the car itself, not from memory, before you place the order.
The number on my old camera does not match 17589029-00, what now?
Do not fit it on the strength of the OE number alone. Check the model and the model year shown on your vehicle registration document and compare that against the fitment table on this page before you order. If the two do not line up, the camera is not the right one for your car, whatever the old label says. This keeps you from sending back a correct part that simply did not match your specific vehicle in the first place.
