Frequently Asked Questions: OE 18099690-00
Will this camera fit my BYD if it is not the Yuan PLUS?
Only the BYD Yuan PLUS carries this OE number, with no other model shown here. If your car is a similar BYD but not this exact model, that closeness is not enough on its own. Take a look at the photographs on this page and compare the shape, the lens position and the mounting points against the module currently fitted to your car. If everything lines up, you can order with confidence. If anything differs, it is worth holding off rather than guessing.
What if the number on my old camera is not 18099690-00?
If the number stamped on the old camera does not match 18099690-00, do not fit this one. Check the number stamped on the part you are removing from the car rather than going by the model name alone, since that number is what confirms whether this is the correct replacement. This listing is matched against 18099690-00, also shown as SC2EW-3776750A, so either of those appearing on your old unit means you have found the right part. If neither number appears, hold off ordering until you can confirm it.
Where on the car does this camera go?
This camera sits at the rear of the car and is fitted externally, not inside the cabin. It fits the BYD Yuan PLUS, and the fitment table on this page will confirm whether that covers your exact car before you commit to an order. Checking the table takes a moment and avoids ordering a rear-mounted part for a model it was never made for. Once you have confirmed the match there, you can be confident this is the correct camera for the position it needs to fill.
