Frequently Asked Questions: OE 18288962-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
How do I know this is the left side and not the right?
Yes, this listing is for the left side, rear upper section. The way to be sure it matches your car is not by eye but by the number stamped on the part you are taking off the vehicle. Find that number and compare it against 18288962-00 before you order. If it matches, you have confirmed both the side and the exact part. If the stamped number is different, do not rely on which side the old part came from, treat the two as different references and check further before buying.
Will this fit my car if it is not exactly a Yuan PLUS?
This part is made for the BYD Yuan PLUS, and no other model is named for this OE number. If your car is a different model, this part is not the right one for it, even where the shape looks close. Do not order on appearance alone. Compare the photographs on this page against your own bumper in detail before deciding, rather than assuming a similar-looking model will be a match. If your model is not the one named here, do not treat the resemblance as proof of fit.
What is the difference between genuine and aftermarket here?
Only the genuine BYD version appears on this listing, and it is brand new rather than used or reconditioned. No aftermarket alternative is shown here against this OE number. If you would like to weigh a genuine part against an aftermarket option before deciding, use the quote route on this page and ask what is available for your car. That way you get a confirmed answer for this exact reference rather than choosing between the two tiers based on the listing alone.
My old part has a different number on it, is this still the right one?
If the number on your old part does not read 18288962-00, check it against the alternative reference SC2EV-2804111AB/30, which this part also carries. A mismatch against the main OE number does not rule this part out on its own, since it may carry the second reference instead. Take both numbers to your old part and compare them directly. If neither one matches what is stamped on the bumper you are removing, this is not a confirmed fit for your car and ordering it would be a guess.
How will a part this size actually get to me?
Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. The packaging details are shown on this page. Before you place the order, take the old part off the car and check the OE number against 18288962-00 or the alternative reference SC2EV-2804111AB/30 listed on this page. Doing that now, while the part is in your hands, is the easiest way to be sure before the new one is on its way to you.
What is this bumper made of?
This section is moulded in new plastic and made in China, with BYD listed as the genuine maker. Only one version appears here, for the left rear position, so check the fitment table on this page to confirm your car and side before you order. Compare the OE number 18288962-00 against the number on the old part first.
