Frequently Asked Questions: OE 15271121-00
Which side is this drain channel for?
The right hand side, taken from the driver's seat facing forward, and it sits at the rear of the car. Channels are handed, so the left one will not drain the way it should if it is forced into the wrong aperture. The easiest confirmation is to lift the old channel out, sit it on the bench in the orientation it was fitted, and compare it with the pictures here. Where you are unsure, check the fitment table on this page against your own vehicle.
The channel I took off has another number on it. Is that a problem?
No. This channel is listed under OE number 15271121-00 and it is also known as SFH-5401239/70. Parts in a drain area sit in road water for years, so a printed reference can lift away completely and only the moulded or stamped one survives. Match whichever you can read against those two. If the number that remains legible matches neither, use the quote route on this page and give us the Bao 5 details along with what you can make out.
How quickly can this be with me?
The delivery time is 8 to 28 days, from order to door. A leaking drain channel tends to get worse while the car sits, so it is worth ordering as soon as you have identified the part rather than waiting for a booking. Tight timescales can be discussed through the quote route on this page. The shipping cost for your country is shown on this page and confirmed at checkout before you pay.
Is this channel metal or moulded plastic?
It is metal, in new condition. It is a shaped section rather than a flat one, so handle it by the body of the channel and avoid crushing the edges in transit around a workshop, since a distorted lip will not seal the way it should. Compare the new channel against the old one edge for edge before you fit it. Store it somewhere dry until the day of the job rather than leaving it outside with the car.
Do you offer an Aftermarket version of this channel?
Not against this OE number. The listing holds the Original/Genuine channel from BYD and no second tier, so the price shown on this page is the single option in front of you. Where both tiers exist for a part, they are both shown, so nothing is being held back here. If you would rather we searched the alternative reference for a second source before you order, ask through the quote route on this page and include your vehicle details.
