About This Part
Rear micro switch in piano black for the tailgate release, OE 15527151-00 (HA6HA-3642800-00BX). The moulded plastic switch and its pigtail harness sit behind the rear trim and signal the smart key system to unlatch the boot when pressed. It is a rear-mounted part fitting the 2026 Seal 05 DM-i 2025-2026 and Seal 05 DM-i Smart Driving 2024-2026. If the boot no longer opens from the outside, this tailgate switch or boot release button is the usual cause.

Frequently Asked Questions: OE 15527151-00
What if the number on my old part is different?
Have a look at the number stamped on the switch you are taking off before you order. This one is shown under OE 15527151-00, also shown as HA6HA-3642800-00BX. If the marking on your old part does not match either of those, hold off ordering and use the quote route on this page so the fitment can be checked properly rather than guessed at.
How do I know this switch is right for my Seal 05 DM-i?
Do not order from memory. Take the old switch off the tailgate first and check the OE number stamped or printed on it against 15527151-00, also listed as HA6HA-3642800-00BX. This part is new, made of plastic in piano black, and fits at the rear on the exterior of the car. If the numbers match, you can order with confidence.
