Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13151991-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
How do I know this is the right side tail lamp for my Dolphin?
This listing is for the right hand lamp, fitted to the rear of the car. Left and right are easy to mix up once a lamp is off the vehicle, so before you order, look at the OE number stamped on the lamp you are taking off and compare it with the one shown here. That check confirms the side without relying on memory or on which way the car happens to be facing on the drive.
What is the difference between Original/Genuine and Aftermarket for this lamp?
The difference is in who made the part, since this listing gives you a choice between an Original/Genuine unit and an Aftermarket one against the same OE number, 13151991-00. Fit and function are matched to that OE number either way, so the decision comes down to which tier suits your budget and how the vehicle is used. Rather than guess which is right for your car, run it through the quote route on this page, where you can compare both tiers side by side before deciding which one to order.
What if the number on my old lamp does not match 13151991-00?
If the number on your old lamp does not match 13151991-00, do not rule this listing out straight away. The same lamp is also listed under EM2E-4133020, so check your old part against that reference too. A match against either number means you have the correct lamp for your car. If neither number matches, hold off fitting this one and look again at the fitment table on this page before you order.
