About This Part
Rear tailgate assembly for the BYD e2 Glory and e2 2019-2025, OE 12818917-00 (reference EL-6301010/77). The pressed steel shell forms the full liftgate frame, with the glass aperture, hinge points and latch cut-outs ready for hardware transfer. Supplied in primer as a bare boot lid panel, so the tailgate shell takes paint to match before fitting.

Frequently Asked Questions: OE 12818917-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
Whats the difference between the original and aftermarket tailgate?
Original or Genuine means the tailgate is made by BYD to the exact fit and finish of the car it replaces. Aftermarket is a non-branded equivalent built to the same OE number, 12818917-00, so it fits the same rear opening and fixings. Look at the side, the position and the fixing points on the fitment table on this page before choosing, since this listing covers the rear tailgate only. If your car does not match what is shown there, do not order on the tier name alone.
What should I do if the number on my old tailgate does not match this OE number?
Do not order from memory. Have the old tailgate in front of you and find the number stamped or moulded onto the panel or its bracket before you buy. If it reads 12818917-00, or the alternative EL-6301010/77, you have a match. If it shows anything else, this listing is not the right one for your car, whatever the panel looks like from the outside.
How does a part this size get delivered to me?
Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. The packaging details are shown on this page. It will come as a large parcel rather than a small courier box, so make sure someone is around to bring it in. Before ordering, open the fitment table on this page and confirm it against your car. The shipping cost is confirmed with your quote.
What is this tailgate made of?
This is a metal tailgate assembly, listed new, for the BYD e2. Metal panels of this kind are heavier than plastic trim, so handle it with care when it arrives and when it goes on the car. Before you order, take the model and the model year straight from your registration document and match them against the fitment table on this page. The listing carries the OE number 12818917-00, so you can check that against the marking on your old tailgate as well.
How do I know this tailgate fits my BYD e2 and not just looks similar?
Do not go by shape alone. Find the identifying number stamped on the tailgate you are removing and match it against the OE number 12818917-00, or the alternative reference EL-6301010/77, for this listing. It sits at the rear of the car, so remove the old panel first and check the stamping before you order, rather than relying on how it looks fitted.
