Frequently Asked Questions: OE 17020013-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
What is the difference between the two quality tiers?
This tailgate is listed as new, made by BYD, so it stands as the version shown here rather than one of two tiers. Fitment for a Song PLUS EV depends on the number cast or printed onto the panel you are removing, not on any tier. Check the number stamped on your own part before ordering, since it confirms the fit far better than the vehicle model alone. Match it against 17020013-00 or SA3HV-6301010/70 before you commit.
What if the number on my old part is different from this one?
A different number means a different fitment, even on the same model year of Song PLUS EV, so do not assume the panel will bolt straight on. Use the quote route on this page and give the number from your old tailgate, along with 17020013-00 or SA3HV-6301010/70 for reference. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote.
How will a part this size be delivered to me?
This tailgate ships as a single packaged item, not a small parcel through the letterbox. The packaging details are shown on this page. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Check the fitment table on this page to confirm it matches your Song PLUS EV before it is sent out, and keep the OE number 17020013-00 to hand in case you need to confirm it.
What is this tailgate made of?
It is made of metal. Have your old tailgate off the car and in front of you before you order, so you can compare the fixing points and the shape against the OE number 17020013-00 or SA3HV-6301010/70, rather than relying on memory of what the damaged one looked like.
Where on the car does this tailgate fit?
Fitted to the exterior at the rear of a BYD Song PLUS EV, this panel sits at the back of the car rather than anywhere on the sides or front. Before ordering, check the side, the position and the fixings on your own car, since a rear panel must match the exact opening and mounting points of your vehicle. Confirm against OE number 17020013-00 or the alternative reference SA3HV-6301010/70 stamped or printed on the part you are removing, rather than the model name alone.
