Frequently Asked Questions: OE 15691910-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
What is the difference between Original/Genuine and Aftermarket for this tailgate?
Only one version is listed on this page, so there is no tier choice to make here. Before ordering, check the side, the position and the fixings against your own car, since a tailgate assembly has to match how the old one is mounted. Look at where it is hinged, where the latch sits and how it fastens to the body, then compare that against what you are removing. If everything lines up, order using the OE number, 15691910-00, so the part matches the one currently fitted.
What if the number on my old part is different?
That can happen, since parts get listed under more than one reference and this one is also known as SC3E-6301010/70 as well as OE 15691910-00. A different number on your old part does not automatically mean it is the wrong tailgate, but it does mean a quick check is worth doing before you commit. Use the quote route on this page and give the number from your old part, so it can be checked against this listing directly rather than guessed at.
How does a tailgate this size get delivered to me?
It comes as one metal assembly, and the packaging details are shown on this page. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Before you order, take your old tailgate off the car and keep it to hand, ready to check the OE number, 15691910-00, against it as soon as the new one arrives. The shipping cost is confirmed with your quote.
What is this tailgate made of?
It is made of metal. Look at the photographs on this page before you order, so you can see the shape and finish of the panel and check it matches what has come off your car. This is a new assembly under OE number 15691910-00, so match that number on your old part first. It is also listed as SC3E-6301010/70, which can help if your old part carries that reference instead. If either number matches, you are looking at the right tailgate.
Where does this tailgate fit on the car?
This is the rear tailgate assembly, fitted at the back of the BYD Yuan UP. Before you order, find the number stamped on the tailgate you are removing and check it reads 15691910-00, or the alternative reference SC3E-6301010/70. Matching that number against the part in your hand is the only way to be sure this is the correct assembly for your car, since a wrong match will not line up when you come to fit it.
