Frequently Asked Questions: OE 17937599-00
Will this parking sensor fit my car if it is not exactly a Sealion 05?
This sensor is made for one model only, the BYD Sealion 05 EV, and no other model is covered by this OE number. If your car is a similar model but not this one exactly, do not assume it will do, because only this fitment applies here. Check the fitment table on this page against your car before you order, so you are ordering for your own model and not a similar one nearby.
The number on my old sensor does not match, what do I do?
Yes, this matters. The OE number on this listing is 17937599-00, also listed as UNED-3603800A-00B0. If the number stamped or printed on your old sensor does not match either of these, do not order on looks alone. Look at the photographs on this page and compare what you see against what you are holding, since a different number can mean a different part entirely, even if the two look alike at first glance.
Where does this sensor actually sit on the car?
The listing places this as an exterior fitment, the parking sensor mounted in the bodywork rather than inside the cabin. Before you order, have the old part in front of you and check that what you are holding matches this description, standard black, plastic. That comparison is worth doing with the part in hand rather than from memory, since the fitting position alone will not tell you if it is the right one.
