Frequently Asked Questions: OE 12978608-00
What do I do if the number on my old part is not the same as this one?
If the numbers do not match, do not assume the part is wrong before checking further. This assembly is listed under OE number 12978608-00 and also appears as HA2HE-1303160, so your old part may carry either reference rather than something unrelated. Look at the fitment table on this page and compare what is printed there against both numbers before you decide anything. Only order once one of them lines up with the number on your old part. If nothing matches at all, hold off ordering until you have checked the table properly.
How long will this coolant pipe take to arrive?
The delivery time is 8 to 28 days, from order to door. Before you order, match the model and the model year shown on your registration document against the fitment table on this page. The shipping cost for your country is shown on this page and confirmed at checkout before you pay. Before you order, check the OE number on your old part against the one on this page.
What is this coolant pipe made of?
This is made of plastic, moulded as a single coolant pipe rather than a length of hose you could cut and clamp together. If a joint or a mounting point on the old part has cracked, this replaces it as one complete unit, not a patch to that single spot. It also appears under HA2HE-1303160, so check that number matches too if you are working from a parts list. Take a look at the photographs on this page to see the shape and the connections before you order, so you can match it against what is fitted to the car.
Where does the coolant pipe assembly fit on the BYD Destroyer 05?
Before you order, check the OE number stamped on the pipe you are removing against 12978608-00, since the fitment table on this page cannot see which build your car left the factory with. This is a moulded plastic assembly, not a length of hose that can be trimmed to match, so it needs to be the correct one for your car. It is supplied new and made in China.
Is there a cheaper alternative to this part?
An alternative to the original can be looked for and priced for you through the quote route on this page, so you are not limited to what is listed here today. At present only the Original/Genuine version of this pipe is listed, under OE 12978608-00. This part is also listed under reference HA2HE-1303160, so have that to hand when you request a quote, as it helps identify the exact pipe you need priced as an alternative. Use the quote route whenever you would rather compare options before deciding.
