Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14655519-00
Why can I not just buy this straight away and does it need a quote?
Quote only for this one, so place your enquiry through the quote route on this page. Before you do, find the number stamped on the airbag module you are taking out of the Sealion 06 EV and note it down exactly. Give us that number alongside your enquiry so it can be checked against 14655519-00. That way you order once, with the confirmation done before anything is sent, rather than guessing and finding out later that it does not match.
Is this the right hand or left hand airbag and how do I check?
Right hand is what this listing covers, fitted inside the car rather than as an outer trim piece. Look at your own car and identify which side the airbag sits on and how it is fixed in place, then compare that to the side and position you see listed here. Right and left are not interchangeable, so match the side first before you look at anything else. If what you find on your car does not line up with the right hand fitment shown, stop and check again rather than assuming it is close enough.
Will this fit my BYD Sealion 06 EV if mine is a slightly different trim?
Only one model appears in the fitment table on this page, the Sealion 06 EV. If your car is a different trim or a different EV model from BYD, do not assume this part carries across, since nothing here confirms that. Check the fitment table for your exact model before ordering, and compare it against the model and model year shown on your car. If your model does not appear there, this is not the part to order, however close it looks based on the description alone.
What if the number on my old part is not 14655519-00?
Check the model and the model year as written on your registration document before you order, since that confirms which curtain airbag module suits your BYD Sealion 06 EV. This module is listed under OE number 14655519-00, also shown as UGE-5820800A, so match either code against what is stamped on the part you are removing. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote.
Do I need a garage to fit this or can I do it myself?
This is listed under Airbags and SRS, which is why identification matters before you fit anything. Have the old part in front of you before you order, not just a memory of what it looked like, since the number stamped on it is what confirms this is the correct replacement. Whether you fit it yourself or hand it to someone else, that check comes first. Order against 14655519-00 only once you have that part in hand and can read the number clearly.
How will a part this size arrive at my door?
Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. The packaging details are shown on this page. Have a good look at the photographs on this page before you order, so you know exactly the shape and the length you are dealing with, and can judge where it will sit and how it will need to be positioned once it arrives and is delivered to you.
