BYD Sealion 06 EV Parts

The BYD Sealion 06 EV is a five-door, five-seat electric SUV, sold since July 2025 as the rear-wheel-drive replacement for the Song PLUS, with a single rear motor across every trim. Launch coverage advertised a second, front motor and all-wheel drive, and that car never reached the price list. Before ordering any front-axle part, drivetrain part or all-wheel-drive-specific component, confirm the car in front of you is single-motor, because that is the only version BYD ever built.

Symptom Finder: Known Weak Points

What you see or hearCheck first
Parking sensor or driver-assistance warning after a minor knock The ultrasonic sensors and radar units in the bumpers, and their brackets. A bent bracket can trigger the warning by itself, so check it first, then order the sensor by the OE number on the old unit.
Unsettled ride or a suspension warning The DiSus-C adaptive dampers and their sensors. These are electronically controlled units, so order the damper by OE number and check the build date, since the 2026 car added a pre-aim function.
Rear brake squeal or a parking brake fault The solid rear discs, pads and the electric parking brake caliper. Inspect the disc and pads first, then match the caliper by side and OE number.
Driver-assistance warning after a windscreen replacement The glass, the camera mounting and the camera's alignment. Match the replacement windscreen by OE number, then have the cameras recalibrated.
Coolant warning or a falling coolant level Coolant hoses, the expansion tank and the temperature sensors. The car cools a battery and a drive motor as well as the cabin, so trace the leak to its circuit before ordering.
DC charging slower than expected or refused The charging socket, its cable and seals. Confirm the version and build date first, since 2025 range versions and the flash-charging 2026 car use different charging hardware.
Tyre noise or uneven wear Tyre condition and alignment. Launch cars run 235/50 R19 on both axles, but read the size on the sidewall before ordering replacements.

About BYD Sealion 06 EV Parts

The BYD Sealion 06 EV is the fully electric version of the Sealion 06, a mid-size five-seat SUV that replaced the Song Plus in China. It was first shown at Auto Shanghai in April 2025 and went on sale on 24 July 2025. It was launched alongside the Sealion 06 DM-i plug-in hybrid, which has the same 4,810 mm body and 2,820 mm wheelbase. Every trim in the published line-up has one motor driving the rear wheels, powered by a Blade battery. The car uses MacPherson struts at the front, a five-link rear axle and DiSus-C adaptive damping. For parts, much of the body and chassis is shared with the hybrid. The drive unit, battery, charging and high-voltage cooling hardware belong only to the electric car. Every part on this page is listed by its OE number, and that number is the surest way to confirm a part fits.

What to know before buying BYD Sealion 06 EV parts

Start by making sure the car really is a Sealion 06 EV. The Sealion 6 sold in some markets outside China is the export name for the Song Plus DM-i. That is an older plug-in hybrid on a different body, and its parts do not suit this car. The closer sibling is the Sealion 06 DM-i, which has the same 4,810 mm length, 1,920 mm width, 1,675 mm height and 2,820 mm wheelbase. The quickest way to tell them apart is underneath: the hybrid has an exhaust and the electric car does not.

The two Sealion 06 versions share a lot of chassis design. Both use double-ball-joint MacPherson struts at the front and a five-link rear axle with steel links, and both ran 235/50 R19 tyres at launch. They drive different wheels, though. The EV drives the rear wheels and the DM-i drives the front, so driveshafts, drive units and their mounts, and cooling parts do not cross between them. Rear links and arms can look alike, so match them by OE number rather than by position on the car.

Some launch coverage mentioned a dual-motor version with 110 kW at the front and 180 kW at the rear. Every trim in the published 2025 and 2026 line-ups is single-motor and rear-wheel drive. Do not order front drive parts unless the old part in your hand carries a matching OE number.

On 2025 cars, the battery depends on the range. The 520 km car has a 65.28 kWh pack and a 170 kW motor. The 605 km cars have a 78.72 kWh pack, a 180 kW motor and an 800 V system. Battery, charging and high-voltage parts are specific to each version.

March 2026 is the main date split. The updated car kept the body but gained 240 kW or 270 kW motors, a second-generation Blade battery with flash charging, and an optional roof-mounted lidar. Read the build date on the identification plate before ordering motor, battery, charging or driver-assistance parts. The 2025 car has 12 cameras, five radar units and 12 ultrasonic sensors. Many of these sit in the bumpers and windscreen area, so a front-end repair often needs sensors and brackets as well as the panel. Order painted panels by the colour code on the car.

Before You Order: 7 Checks

  1. Check the badge. If it reads Sealion 6 rather than Sealion 06, the car is an export Song Plus DM-i, so search for that model instead.
  2. Look under the car for an exhaust. If there is one, it is a Sealion 06 DM-i, so order rear drive and cooling parts for that car instead.
  3. Match the OE number on the part you are replacing to the OE number on the listing, and order only when they match.
  4. Note the range version on 2025 cars, 520 km or 605 km, before ordering any battery, charging or high-voltage part.
  5. Read the build date on the identification plate before ordering motor, battery, charging or driver-assistance parts, since the car changed in March 2026.
  6. Check for a roof-mounted lidar on 2026 cars before ordering roof, windscreen or sensor parts.
  7. Order painted panels by the colour code on the car, and check the parking sensors and brackets after any bumper repair.

Generations and Facelifts

The Sealion 06 replaced the Song Plus, which BYD built in China from 2020 and still exports as the Sealion 6. The two are separate cars on different bodies, and parts do not cross between them.

The Sealion 06 was first shown at Auto Shanghai in April 2025 and went on sale on 24 July 2025 in two versions: this electric car and the Sealion 06 DM-i plug-in hybrid. Both are built in Xi'an. The launch EV came as a 520 km car with a 65.28 kWh Blade battery and a 170 kW motor, or a 605 km car with a 78.72 kWh battery, a 180 kW motor and an 800 V system. Every trim was single-motor and rear-wheel drive, with DiSus-C adaptive damping and the camera-based God's Eye C driver-assistance system as standard.

The updated EV launched on 6 March 2026. The body and all its dimensions stayed the same, so panels made for the launch car suit the later one, subject to the OE number. Almost everything underneath changed. The motors rose to 240 kW or 270 kW, the battery moved to BYD's second-generation Blade with flash charging, and the longest-range version reaches 710 km. God's Eye C stayed standard, but a roof-mounted lidar became an option. DiSus-C gained a pre-aim function that reads the road ahead. For parts, drive units, battery and charging hardware, and driver-assistance sensors from before and after March 2026 should be treated as different until the OE number shows otherwise.

The DM-i received its own update in May 2026. The Sealion 06 EV has had no exterior facelift. Before ordering drive, battery or sensor parts, read the build date on the identification plate.

BYD Sealion 06 EV Parts: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make sure a part fits my Sealion 06 EV?

Match the OE number. Every part on this site is listed under the OE number printed on the original part. If the number on the part you are replacing matches the listing, the part fits. That check matters a lot on this car because it shares its body with the Sealion 06 DM-i, while its drive, battery and charging parts are its own, and those changed in March 2026. If the old part is missing or its number cannot be read, send a photo through the quote form and we will reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.

Is the Sealion 06 EV the same car as the Sealion 6?

No. Sealion 6 is the export name for the Song Plus DM-i, used in some markets outside China. That is a plug-in hybrid BYD has built since 2020 on a different body. The Sealion 06 EV replaced the Song Plus in China in 2025 and is a separate, fully electric car. Body panels, glass and chassis parts do not cross between the two. Check the badge on the car, and if it reads Sealion 6, look for parts under the Song Plus DM-i.

Do parts interchange with the Sealion 06 DM-i?

Some do. The two versions share their length, width, height and 2,820 mm wheelbase, and both use double-ball-joint MacPherson struts at the front and a five-link rear axle. The EV drives its rear wheels with an electric motor, while the DM-i uses a 1.5-litre engine and drives the front wheels. That means drive units, driveshafts, exhaust parts and much of the cooling system do not cross. Bumpers and rear links can look the same, so check the OE number on each part before you order.

Is there an all-wheel-drive Sealion 06 EV?

Launch coverage in July 2025 mentioned a dual-motor version with 110 kW at the front and 180 kW at the rear. Every trim in the published 2025 and 2026 line-ups has a single motor driving the rear wheels. For almost every car you will see, front drive units, front driveshafts and front motor cooling parts do not apply. If a car does appear to have a front motor, order from the OE number on the fitted part rather than from the model name.

What changed in March 2026?

The updated Sealion 06 EV launched on 6 March 2026. The body and its dimensions did not change. The motors rose from 170 kW or 180 kW to 240 kW or 270 kW, the battery moved to BYD's second-generation Blade with flash charging, and a roof-mounted lidar became an option. The DiSus-C damping also gained a pre-aim function that reads the road ahead. Before ordering drive, battery, charging or sensor parts, read the build date on the identification plate and match the OE number.

Which battery and motor does my 2025 car have?

It depends on the range version. The 520 km car has a 65.28 kWh Blade battery and a 170 kW rear motor. The 605 km cars have a 78.72 kWh battery and a 180 kW rear motor. Battery modules, high-voltage wiring, charging parts and some cooling parts are specific to each version, so a part for one should not be assumed to fit the other. Confirm the range version from the badging or the car's settings, then order by the OE number on the old part.

Is the Sealion 06 EV an 800 V car?

The 605 km versions of the 2025 car are built on an 800 V system. Parts for that high-voltage system, including charging hardware and high-voltage cables, should be matched only to cars of the same version. The 2026 car uses a flash-charging battery and its own charging hardware. Because the system varies by version and by date, do not choose charging or high-voltage parts by model name alone. Check the range version and the build date, then match the OE number before you order.

Does my car have lidar?

Only a 2026 car can, and only if the option was chosen. At launch, every Sealion 06 EV used the camera-based God's Eye C system with 12 cameras, five radar units and 12 ultrasonic sensors. From March 2026, God's Eye C stayed standard and a roof-mounted lidar became an option. A lidar car needs its own roof hardware and sensor parts. Look at the front of the roof for the lidar housing before ordering roof, glass or driver-assistance parts, and match each part by OE number.

What brakes does the Sealion 06 EV use?

Ventilated discs at the front and solid discs at the rear, with an electric parking brake built into the rear calipers. The rear calipers therefore include a motor, and left and right are separate parts. When a rear caliper fails, check whether the fault is in the hydraulic side or in the parking brake motor before ordering. Order discs and pads as a matched set for each axle, and confirm each caliper by side and by the OE number on the old unit.

What tyre size does it take?

Every 2025 trim runs 235/50 R19 on both axles, the same size used on the Sealion 06 DM-i. No original tyre brand has been confirmed for the electric car, so match the size, load index and speed rating rather than a brand. The 2026 update did not publish a change of wheel size, but wheels are easy to swap. Read the size on the sidewall of the tyres already fitted before you order tyres or rims.

Are the dampers ordinary struts?

No. Every Sealion 06 EV has DiSus-C, BYD's electronically controlled damping, which adjusts the dampers as the car drives. The front uses double-ball-joint MacPherson struts and the rear a five-link axle. On the 2026 car, DiSus-C gained a pre-aim function that uses a forward view of the road. Treat each damper as an electronic part rather than a plain strut, check the build date on the identification plate, and order by the OE number on the old damper.

What else do I need after a front-end or windscreen repair?

Usually more than the panel or glass. The bumpers carry ultrasonic parking sensors and radar units, and the windscreen area holds a forward camera. On 2026 cars with the lidar option, the lidar sits on the roof. A light impact can bend a sensor bracket or crack a housing without any visible damage to the paint. List every sensor, bracket and clip on the damaged area, order each by its OE number, and plan for the cameras to be recalibrated after the work.
