Frequently Asked Questions: OE 17144508-00
Why can I not just buy this online and what is the quote route for it?
This one is not a straight checkout purchase. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. That lets the exact fabric module for your Bao 5 or Dolphin be confirmed before anything moves. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 17144508-00. If anything about the timing matters for a booked repair, ask through the quote route on this page.
How do I know this is the right side for my car?
This one is listed for the right hand side of the car. Do not rely on memory of which side yours came from. Take a look at the part you are removing and check the number stamped on it, then compare that against the OE number 17144508-00 listed here, so you can be sure this is the correct side before you commit to an order. If the stamped number does not match, treat that as a reason to look again rather than assume.
The number on my old part does not match this one, what should I do?
A different number on your old part does not automatically mean this is wrong. Check the side, the position and the fixings on your own car against this listing before deciding either way. Confirm it is fitted on the right hand side, in the same position, and that the fixings match what you can see on the part you are removing. Only order once those three points line up, since a stamped number on its own is not enough to confirm fitment.
Is this something I can fit myself, or does it need a professional?
This is an SRS airbag component, right side, and fitting is best left to a professional. Before you book it in, take your registration document and check that the model and the model year shown there match the Bao 5 or Dolphin listing for this part. Pass those details on when you arrange the work, so the person fitting it is starting from the correct identification. Confirming this first, rather than after the work begins, is the part most buyers skip on airbag fitting jobs like this.
How is a part this size delivered?
This arrives in its own packaging, with the packaging details shown on this page. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 17144508-00. If anything about the timing matters for a booked repair, ask through the quote route on this page. Keep the packaging until you have compared the new part with the one you removed.
