Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14728173-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
What is the actual difference between Original/Genuine and Aftermarket for this bumper?
For OE 14728173-00, only one option is available, so there is no second tier to weigh up. Have a look at the photographs on this page before you order, since they show the exact part you would receive rather than a generic stock picture. If anything in the images does not match the panel currently on your BYD Song PLUS EV, hold off and check the OE number again against the old part first.
The number on my old bumper does not match 14728173-00, can I still order this one?
A different number on your old part does not automatically rule this one out, and it does not automatically confirm it either. Rather than guessing, check the model and the model year as printed on your registration document, since that is the detail this listing is matched against. If those details align with the Song PLUS EV range, this OE number is worth ordering. If you are still unsure, compare it against the number quoted here before you commit.
How will a part this size actually turn up at my door?
Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. The packaging details are shown on this page. Plan where it will go before it arrives, since a bumper cover like this needs care and space to bring indoors. Before fitting, check the side, the position and the fixings on your own car against the fitment table on this page to be sure this is the right one for your Song PLUS EV.
Is this front bumper made of plastic and will it fit properly first time?
Yes, this upper main body panel is moulded in plastic and listed new against OE number 14728173-00. Getting the fit right on a panel like this depends on ordering the exact match for your car rather than a close equivalent, since a bumper is shaped to the model it was designed for. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote.
Where on the car does this bumper upper main body fit?
This is the upper section of the front bumper, fitted to the front exterior of the car within the bumper and trim area. If you are checking this against a parts list or a workshop manual, it may also appear under the reference SA3EF-2803111A/30, since some sources catalogue it that way instead of by OE number. Cross checking against that reference can help confirm you are looking at the same upper main body section before you order.
