Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13330557-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
Which side is this grille trim strip for, and how can I be sure?
This grille trim strip is listed for the right side, front of the car. There is no left hand version described here, only this one. If you are not sure which side you need, do not guess from memory of the car. The safest step is to use the quote route on this page and describe exactly where the old strip sits, so the right one is confirmed before the order goes through.
What is the difference between the Genuine and Aftermarket options?
Genuine and Aftermarket parts differ mainly in who makes them. The version listed here is Genuine, made by BYD, the vehicle's own manufacturer. An Aftermarket option, where one exists, is made by a different manufacturer to fit the same space. To see which of these two options are listed for this particular strip, check the fitment table on this page before you choose.
The number on my old trim strip is different, what do I do?
If the number stamped on your old strip is not 13330557-00, do not assume this is still the right part, even if the strip looks the same. This part is also listed under HA2HK-2803752/71, so check for that number too before ruling it out. Beyond those two numbers, treat any other number as a different part. Take the number stamped on the part you are removing as the final check, not the description on this page.
What is this trim strip made of and does that affect fitment?
This is a plastic trim strip, grey, made for the right front of the Destroyer 05. Plastic trims are moulded to the shape and colour of the original panel, so an exact match to your car matters more than with a generic bracket. Check the model and the model year shown on your registration document before ordering, since trim shape can change between versions of the same car. The OE number 13330557-00 is also worth having to hand when you order.
Will this trim strip need painting or finishing to match my car?
There is nothing here to say whether this needs painting to match your bodywork, only that it is supplied new in grey plastic. Rather than guess, put the old part in front of you before you order and compare the finish and colour to your car. That comparison will tell you whether this grey plastic strip already matches, or whether extra finishing is needed on your end.
