Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13992581-00
How do I know this will fit my Song PLUS EV or DM-i?
Before you order, have the old cover panel out and in front of you. Check the OE number stamped or printed on it against 13992581-00, or the alternative reference SA3HK-5302210. This panel is listed for the BYD Song PLUS EV and DM-i, made of black plastic and supplied new. Matching the number on your old part to the one listed here is the surest way to confirm you are ordering the correct grille upper cover panel for your car.
The number on my old panel does not match 13992581-00, what now?
Do not fit it on the strength of a rough match. Pull out your registration document and check the model and the model year printed there, then compare that against what is listed for this panel. If the details differ, hold off ordering until they line up. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. The shipping cost is confirmed with your quote.
How will a part this size be delivered?
The packaging details are shown on this page. It comes as a single parcel rather than a pallet delivery. Before it turns up, find the number stamped on the old cover you are removing, since matching that number against the part on arrival is the surest way to confirm it is the right one for your car. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote.
What is this cover panel made of and does that matter for fitting?
It is a black plastic panel, listed for the front. Before you order, look at your own car and confirm the side, the position and the fixings match this panel, since the wrong one will not sit right. Check the OE number against the number on your old part, 13992581-00, and use the fitment table on this page if you are at all unsure which side or position you need.
Will this need painting or finishing to match my car?
Finished in black, this panel does not need to be sent off for paint before fitting. If you want to check you have exactly the right item beyond the OE number, it is also listed under the reference SA3HK-5302210, and matching that alongside 13992581-00 confirms you have the correct finish and version rather than a similar looking panel from the same range.
Where does this grille upper cover panel actually fit on the car?
It sits at the front of the car, fitted on the exterior along the top edge of the grille. This is a black plastic panel, supplied new, so it will match the finish of the surrounding trim rather than needing painting. To see exactly how it sits against the grille and the panels either side of it, look at the photographs on this page before you place your order. That will give you a clear picture of its position and shape ahead of fitting it to your BYD Song PLUS EV or DM-i.
